Player doesn't spawn when nobody is looking!

Hi

I'm making a level with an intro screen ...

And I made it so that you don't have to watch sackboy crawl out of the little spawn gate, it jumps directly to the intro screen and then to the game screen.

However, the player won't spawn unless one of the cameras shows the spawngate (or so it seems.) And the player needs to spawn to enter a controllinator, which is the whole game.

Is there anyway I can get the player to spawn without having to show him come out of the gate?
Or will I just have to have an ugly spawn sequence before the intro title begins?

You could make the level totally pitch black at the start so nobody sees sackboy spawning. Or hide the entrance behind something.2013-06-14 22:42:00

Start the level pitch-black and no sound effect sounds. A second after the sack enters the controlinator, turn them back on.

That's the temporary solution, it kind of sucks the way sackboy spawns. I guess it's not a big deal2013-06-15 19:11:00

You could try this.
I will try to add a picture.
start by placing your auto-enter Controllinator. Place this so you enter it as soon as you come through the entrance gate.
also, just beside the entrance gate, place a piece of sticker panel with a Sequencer on it. Tweak this sequencer. Set it to play once and its
radius to completely cover the entrance, where sackboy spawns. On this sequencer place a movie camera. Set the camera to show the title
screen view that you want to see as the game starts. stretch it along the sequencer to to at least 5 units. and adjust the sequencers speed- so that when the player enters the entrance gate, they enter the seat, but also, the sequencer plays, showing the camera view.
The camera then switches back to the players, however, as they enter the seat when the camera is playing, they are in the seat when the
camera flips back. the camera view should be around 32 small grid squares away from the entrance gate and seat (so when the camera plays, you wont hear the sound of the player entering the level or the seat.)
