The accusation I am about to make may shock many of you. Perhaps your vision has been clouded by the charade set forth by one individual amongst us. But this is a time in which we need clarity, so at a danger to myself, I come forth with the truth. This is my second attempt to come forward with this information, but a computer malfunction resulted in a loss of the original transcription, no doubt a feeble attempt by the mafia to silence me before I could unravel their deceit. Many names have been brought forth, accused of treachery and malice towards their fellow townspeople. Some may be legitimate mafioso, but I say to you, the leader, the one who gains my vote on this first day, is none other than... BurnVictim42 Now some may denounce my claim, saying that he is obviously above blame due to his death just this morning. This is of course, what Mr. Victim and the rest of the mafia wish you to believe. My first evidence, is the lack of evidence at the scene of the crime. Burnvictim42 opens the car door, only for it to burst into a spectacular pillar of flames. When the fire settles down, nothing remains of the chief, or his precious list. Nothing remains? What such fire is this that not even the charred corpse of our beloved chief remains? True, such combusitons are possible, but the odds are not in their favor, especially as none in the crowd nearby were hurt. Instead, could Mr. Victim not have orchestrated this facade of an attack to remove himself from the playing field, along with the evidence he had amassed. Indeed, if the chief had the evidence he claimed, the trail, if followed by the right minds, could eventually lead back to him, no matter how cleverly he cloaked himself. Therefore, it would be safer to simply destroy the evidence, leave no trail. Or so he would hope. In fact, the ?ghost? of burnvictim has alluded to an ability to immolate himself at a whim, and survive. And consider this dismaying observation: the mafia will come in to kill you through your windows, or your doors; which offers you this chilling challenge: to find them before they find you! Of course, there's always my way... *bursts into flames* Mr. Victim has since returned many times, to offer direction, misleading us no doubt. Yes, instead of a player, it seems I am dead. It would seem so, wouldn't it. Although your language is that of uncertainty Mr. Victim. Is it possible you found it difficult to lie for yourself? Maybe that is why others came forth to do so for you. That is right, I say to you all, Burnvictim42 could not have done this alone. It would be a simple matter to enlist the rest of the mafia, perhaps crooked cops within the force, to come forth and divert suspicion towards others, averting eyes from the truth, in addition to spiriting him away from the scene, accounting for the lack of remaining evidence. Right folk, time to start posting. We'll never bring the mafia down if nobody posts. From this point on, anyone staying silent shall be viewed as suspicious in my eyes. Interesting...Is this person a driving member of Burnvictim's villainy, or perhaps an individual who simply said the wrong thing at the wrong time. Regardless, others have followed suit, and burnvictim has safely been forgotten as a suspect in favor of others. Whether by design or not, Burnvictim clearly benefits from the beginnings of this distraction. Ok, so, we can cross off Burnvictim, he is clearly no mafia... Clearly he would like us to think that. Finally, I would like to draw attention to the situation we find ourselves in. I will draw parallels to something which I have mentioned before, but shall bring up again. Agatha Cristie's And Then There Were None. A simple story, one showcasing the psychological torment of 10 individuals on an island with the knowledge that one of them is a murderer who intends to kill them all. The scene is fashioned around the events of a childhood rhyme, almost as if a game. Making the connection? The following will contain spoilers as to the events of the novel. I believe the evidence already showcased should be enough to sway many of you if you do not wish to continue reading, otherwise, let us carry on the path. Who is the murderer in a plot where everyone on the island is found dead, each driven to paranoia and weakness. Why, it is none other than the judge who faked his own death, thereby leading the others to declare his innocence, and opening the way for him to kill them more easily. Who is Burnvictim42 in this scenario, no more than the judge of these events. It is he who calls to order, he who catalogues all the goings on, who orchestrates all events. Just as Judge Wargrave discreetly attracted his victims to Indian Island, so too does Burn play the Piper in our little game. Like Wargrave in the story, Burnvictim has left clues behind that could conceivably lead to his detection. However, it would be too much to hope that he would leave a confession in a bottle, one which would be found too late to save us anyway. Instead, it is up to us to see through his deceit, set aside our petty differences, and focus on those who are truly a danger to us all. So I have brought forth evidence to support my accusation against Burnvictim42. However, my vote alone is not enough. We must stand united against a common enemy while we can. As we approach what will likely be the final hours of this first day, I think it is important for us to remember that the mafia has the advantage. It works in their favor for us to vote practically blind. Right now, we outnumber them by the largest amount, so every vote has a greater chance of an innocent being killed in their stead. Then the mafia will continue their attack tonight, resulting in us weakening greatly before we have a chance to really strike back. This leads me to believe Rock is innocent. If he was a mafia member, he would likely be more straightforward about his votes for obvious reasons. EDIT: I take back EVERYTHING said in this post. I just read through the entire thread, and am now up-to-date. RockSauron's constant vote changing is something he claims to be proof of his innocence. However, his vote switching is just way too over the top, as if to make himself look innocent when he is actually not. Coupled with his knowing that this would make himself look innocent, as he said, it is obvious that the facts turn against our dear friend Rock. Oh, and one more thing I have to say - Kato looks suspicious. Here is my reasoning, taken straight from the list I have compiled in Notepad: Kato - Seems Suspicious. Draws attention away from himself, and the following words from him are suspicious: "Kalawishis (I think he's the Serial Killer actually.) - I think he's a civilian because he voted for me actually. Which means he doesn't know who the Mafia members are.". In this phrase, he speaks of his innocence as if it were fact, a rather odd action that leans against him. That being said and done, I again apologize for not being active on this thread. I promise I am invested in it now, and regret missing the last week.

Probably not a good idea to mention this, but in one mafia game I sacrificed one of my mafia members in order for people to assume I was innocent for that exact reason you just stated. So me and the other guy were able to cruise to victory because we had accused the other mafia member. So yeah, just saying, accusing mafia members is actually a mafia tactic to get people off your back.

However, on your point about how good mafia members blend in, no one said all mafia members were good at their jobs, and many ppl here (myself included) are first-timers. Plus, I dont see why a citizen would use mafia characteristics, making me feel as if someone is in the mafia if they act like it. Bahh, I think some of the posts against Kato are a little silly. A lot of my posts are done on the phone (including this one) so it's easy to make typos or word things a bit oddly. Or hey, being in a civilian role could make you not worry about wording things super-precisely, which could have also been the case for Kato. I'm not saying he's innocent, heck, it's hard naming anyone who I truly think is "innocent," (except for myself of course, just remember the promise I made if I turn out Mafia ) but just some food for thought. I will say that the Mafia seem to be pretty crafty with how they've chosen to vote. Besides people getting clumps of votes during the round, it's been pretty scattered altogether, which could allow for whoever's Mafia to join in to execute someone in particular, after possibly scattering their votes first. Another thing to think about is what will go down for Night 2. It seems pretty much set in stone that qwerty will die, but then what? The mafia will still get their chance to kill someone, and once they're dead, there's no way they'll be able to make any more suspicions. I'm not sure if the mafiosos have already set up their hit list, but since game-related discussions won't be allowed after the execution, I guess this will be the last chance for one of us to speak up about who we're suspicious of, before one of us get axed at night. (Then again, any more suspicions could put us at risk. I'm probably not helping my own case by typing this up.)

You don't seem to want to put names forward, only jumping on bandwagons when necessary, and your other posts are very vague. You and Dawn have been my main inclings from the early stages. Well sir, after seeing the votes rack up for one of your favourite mafia members - you immediately followed people in voting of someones else... first heightened my suspicions. While I understand Kato's idea of knocking out inactive players to keep things interesting, we are at war with the mafiosos, and an inactive civilian is still a civilian, and right now, a numbers advantage is what's important. Still undecided for the time being, as I want to get a better look at recent posts. I guess at least now we can't be fooled by people pretending to be the sheriff, right...? Although given Ali's experience he probably would have been a pretty good sheriff. I'm tempted to listen to his suspicions of craig even though I don't think the sheriff could know anything until the first night? I'm not decided yet. I'd love to vote for Rock again but I don't think I will, as evil as he is I don't think I've seen enough to really convince me either way yet. His claims about Deino certainly sound suspicious but I don't think I've even noticed him post in this thread so I don't know if he's even active in this game. Maybe we should be going for inactive players just to keep things interesting, I don't know yet. I did tell Protoraptor that the game had started without him so hopefully he'll start playing now. Unless he's mafia, then I hope he stays away At the moment I'm leaning towards craig anyway. Ali suspected him and now he's dead. But I'm not voting yet.

I wanted to see who was going to get a little hot under the collar and defensive about being a suspected Mafia. I figured it was worth a shot. Whoever got uppity about my suspicions I could assume was getting worried about people looking their way. The truth is... I HAD no evidence for the first list. To me that says, "this is your last chance to sway the mob mentality to a player I think is a threat." So I got a little suspicious, but it was a low suspicion. This low suspicion jumped way up when I put them on my list, and suddenly they were defensive about it. I hadn't stated ANY reasons for that list at all, and yet I was accused of having flawed reasons. So what reasons were being referred to? I don't know. But it's set off some alarm bells. Schark if you're a civilian, I truly am sorry. But something just hasn't set right with the way you've responded. Kalawishis - Just cuz. XD (No actual evidence, just being silly with him.) MODERATE CHANCE OF BEING MAFIA: RockSauron - A tough nut to crack. Rock's got lots of experience which is a double edged sword. If he's one of us, he's invaluable. If he's a mafia, he's probably already won. This really comes down to him. I don't think voting for him is wise on account of his player value. If we're lucky he's on our side, but that's just a game of chance. TheUltraDeino - This all depends on RockSauron. Do we trust him? Is he a civilian? If he is a civilian, then Deino is probably a mafia. I would like to believe Rock is a civilian, and thus Deino has a moderate chance. flamingemu - REALLY fast at bandwagon jumping, but also really good at getting people riled up. Completely crazy, and over the top. A little too 'crazy innocent' for me to trust entirely. LOW CHANCE OF BEING MAFIA: Dragonvarsity - All right, but if you ARE one of them, I'd better be seeing a gift basket coming my way. Low chance however, based one one of BurnVictim's posts, which may or may not have been a slip. Dragon mentioned that Burn could potentially change his role. Which Burn replied with 'tempting'. So it more or less, to me, confirms he's one of us. SnipySev - Response to my accusation was just the right balance of calmness. I didn't recognize any guilt when they saw they were being accused. So CONGRATULATIONS low chance of being mafia now. DawnBreaker_23 - Think of the gopher babies! D: Actually, I have her as a low chance based on RockSauron's observation that some roles could potentially force a player to use an emoticon in every post. Teh Ry Guy (Ryan86me) - I only got suspicious of Ryan when RIGHT after I posted a list he instantly started pointing a finger at me. I only assumed he thought I was getting close, but now I disagree. Once he got on that list as part of a test he didn't freak out the way I thought he would. UNSURE: gdn001 - I don't have enough evidence to suspect or deny. Craigmond - Once Day 2 began I instantly instigated blame on Craig to see what would happen. A lot of people followed suit based on Ali-Star's judgement. And one thing Ali-Star was suspicious of was bandwagon jumping. HMMMMMMM. In truth, I still don't think Craigmond is Mafia, just not very good at convincing people otherwise. amoney1999 - Completely ignored being accused at all, and posts that they're innocent in EVERY post. I don't know what to make of that. It's not very convincing, but it's way too shallow to make any sort of accusation. Well Ali's death really wasn't a good turn of events for me, i can see that now. But I will re-iterate what Rawk and others have said, he was probably none the wiser due to the timing of his PM. As for me, I'm unsure who to vote out. I feel like holding back until the climax of chaos returns nearer the deadline as people get more nervous. I read through all your suspicions Kato, pretty interesting list. While proof of innocence is a hard thing to come by in this game, I still hold true to my money-basket promise, and of course, I'd be lying if I said Burnvictim's reply to me during Day 1 couldn't be a great asset to hang onto later on, in case others might think I should be the next to go. I'm still not so sure about craig being guilty, but it certainly is possible. When first entering the game, I was pretty suspicious of some members like gdn, but some of his recent posts have changed some of my thoughts. Gdn's votes against Dawn clearly haven't been very strategic since he hasn't made any true claims to get others to vote for Dawn, which means aside from voting due to whatever suspicions he has against Dawn, he's also helping scatter the votes more, the kind of tactic I'd imagine Mafia members would use when more votes pick up and it's a close call for who's being executed. But that's not the case here, since the round just began and craig isn't really sandwiched with someone else for votes. (like the case was between Rawk and jarr when this game started up) . The easy way of handling things for a Mafia member would to just vote for Craig, since he's already in the hot seat right now, and by doing so, anyone, civvies or mafiosos can easy "blend with the crowd." (Unless of course craig actually is mafia, which I guess would then mean we should be thinking of those that "aren't" voting for the guy.) So gdn seems kinda-sorta-maybe innocent, and yet Dawn could go either way, so I guess I'm back to square one. I did sorta have my eye on Snipy and gdn, so to see them vote around the same time against qwerty after the votes started piling up already was interesting, but hey, I dunno. There are still many innocent people in this game, but if craig's good, that'll be 2 more civilians gone when you factor in the Mafia striking. Just food for thought, I still have trouble making up my mind on which side he's on EDIT: SNIPED by gdn. Guess you don't need to read any of what I just typed up, then. xD
