Finally bought LBP2 this week. Unfortunately I have to sit through 9 updates in order to play online. All updates have installed so far up until update 1.20, which is 995 MB. it gets about to 7% and then my PS3 gets an error code 80710723 and it doesnt finished updating. this has happened 4 times so far. I can play offline just fine but without the update Im not able to check out all the cool levels that people make.

If you get an error code, it's always worth giving it a Google. I've done it for you and have found this which may help (interestingly, this was also related to LBP): http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090131093545AAXEgpa

thanks but I have already saw that page I think. This is the only game that does this, all of my other games update just fine. I do have Hughesnet internet and while it isnt made for gaming, it does at least usually let me download updates and dlc. Ill give it a try again tonight and see if maybe it has fixed itself. thanks again for the advice

Tried the above method and it still wont work. I forget which version the update is but it is the one that is 995 MB in size. is there perhaps a way to download the patch on a PC and then transfer it to PS3?
