Greetings From the Wonderful World of "Can't-Master-Creative-To-Save-My-Life-ia!"

Somehow I managed to never even realize LBP had a website like this. Odd, considering I've been a fan since LBP 1...when I was, like, 13. About four years ago (I'll let you do the math).

Anywho, for this site I shall fall back to my ever-so-commonly-used Online Alias "Mazekial". Normally it's spelled "Maz?kial" [pronounced Mahzae-key-ahl, not maz-ee-key-al, not maze-key-al.] but you would be amazed at how few websites support those fancy accents in their usernames. I am a fellow who bears within him a passion for writing creative stories and a knack for acting, so needless to say Little Big Planet can be a very useful tool for me to funnel these two interests, namely the former.

Unfortunately, there's one teeny tiny stepping stone that kinda impedes this...well, I'm not exactly the most "artistic" young man in the world, and as luck would have it I don't have any BFFs in the world who are artistic...and active PS3 owners...and players of Little Big Planet...and masters of Creative Mode...TL;DR: the end product of the many many levels I have attempted to create in both LBP1 and LBP2 ultimately look drab and boring, and without a distinct level of engineering skill all the depth I put into characters' personalities just do not mix together.

To use a generic example from one of my very first ideas: what's a Scientist who went rouge against an organization in order to develop the perfect genetically enhanced Sackboy if all he looks like is a zombie with Solid Snake hair, MANTIS arms, and a zombie skin in a lab coat? And even then, what's a mad scientist period without some cool convoluted mechanical boss-sized machine of death and destruction?

Rest assured, my ideas grew less generic and more gameplay-focused while still giving it a legitimate story. In LBP2 with the sackbots I was sure "Yes! Once I master this I will be able to create an awesome bird's eye view fighter RPG with voice acting and a legitimate story and sandbox mechanics and everything!" LBP2 came, story mode was beaten, Creative Mode Tutorials were done...and then somewhere between the Sackbot section and the 27th Computer-Chip-related tutorial I got lost and I think part of my brain died inside.

On a more cheery note, I'm glad to have found a LBP Community. Maybe now I can more easily filter out the "I MAED THS LVL PLA IT PL0X HEART PLS PLS H4H!" levels and track down the legitimately-well-thought-out-and-put-together content that appeals to my interests in RPGs or story-driven levels/games that for some reason have been hiding from me in the bowels of that "Cool Levels" section.

Oh yeah, and in case it went over your head somewhere between "Can't-Master-Creative-To-Save-My-Life-ia!" and "hiding from me in the bowels of that 'Cool Levels' section", I am known to have a passive-sarcastic nature, mainly to break the monotony of the day.

And I believe that's all the ranting?I mean "hello-ing" that needs to be done at the moment. Thank you to those who took the time to read the random thoughts of a random new guy.

Huzzah! Someone who writes as much as I do! XD

I'm kinda the same but opposite. I can make some neat designs, but not particularly great levels. Welcome to the boards anyway!

Well, I just wanted to say I'm still alive and reading the topics searching for something to contribute in and I didn't die or something silly like that before I could post something.

Thanks to all for the welcome!
