So, I know this isn't some advice blog, but you guys are all nice people i'm sure, and I just really need the help. Only a LBP player could possibly understand this problem so I really hope you can be kind and understanding and patient. Hey... so i'm Anony.Which is really supposed to be "Anonymous" because this isn't my name on LBP i'm just embarrassed and shy... I love fashion and I make stickers and sticker shops and costume shops, but my costumes aren't crazy haired emo people. Ever since I started playing LBP I never understood why the girls never were high heels and purses... so my costumes have their own style, based on real fashion tips and make up tutorials and everything! but... because i'm girly... and I'm slightly good at making levels, and I happen to have stickers/costume levels (well I do have 1 costume changing room...) every emo-crazy-hair-girly boy wants to ask me out. Every SINGLE. ONE. People even lie just to get me over to their pod by asking me for help! (i'm a greenskeeper) JUST to ask me out. And they tackle me with flirty words like "sexy" and "gorgeous" and it's not just one boy that I can avoid it's a TON of different people! and they keep throwing the word "love" around like a toy, and it's just so... ugh. They think i'm some emo teenager who wants to waste her time dating on a video game, and it's all because I make stickers and I give off the first impression of being a emo/totally teenager girl. I don't put myself in the teenager emo girl area of LBP, but everyone else does... other creators even stereotype me and don't take me seriously. It's embarassing... so.. basically what do you guys think I should do? Maybe people would see me differently if I published more paltformers? I don't know...

Well... I might suggest not allowing so many folks you don't know to join you. One thing that is cool here on LBPC is you can get to know folks and those you like and trust, add them to your PSN friends. If you are needing specific areas of help for example on a project or creation, you can start an Ideas and Projects thread and look for advice and help, or you can simply check out the Find Other Happy Gadders for just some nice people to play levels with. For example... I have my profile set to auto reject those I don't know. It sounds mean, but it is better than having to awkwardly deal with a bunch of folks I don't know wanting to join me when all I want to do is check out a level or do a bit of creating. Again.. getting to know them here first sometimes helps quite a bit the awkward and embarrassing silliness of those just wanting to... well, for the lack of a better term, hit on you. ...which really makes no sense given that in most cases, you could be a thousand miles away and completely different ages. The thought of "asking you out" is just laughable given it is a video game!! lol Anyway.. never feel embarrassed to ask us pretty much anything. We are here to help.

Yeah I'd follow jww's advice and just set your options to auto-reject anyone not on your friends list. Get to know some cool people on here, or play with people you know in real life who also have LBP (if none of them have it, convince them!) - that way you can have multiplayer fun without having to worry about people who make you uncomfortable. Additionally, if someone ever starts harassing you after you've kicked them etc., don't hesitate to block them on PSN. You shouldn't have to deal with this kind of stuff when all you want to do is have fun in a video game, keep making your costume levels and good luck!

People even lie just to get me over to their pod by asking me for help! (i'm a greenskeeper) JUST to ask me out. And they tackle me with flirty words like "sexy" and "gorgeous" and it's not just one boy that I can avoid it's a TON of different people! I think a lot of these people are just immature or lonely. In my experience spending a little more time chatting over PSN will reveal what they really want before you decide to join them. Generally I'm against blocking anyone but that doesn't mean you can't let them cool off for while before responding to them.

I never knew lbp was such a hotbed of pre-pubescent romance, wow. people have been actually doing this for a while already, just look for "looking for gf" or "need a gf" on lbp2/1 and there's a TON of levels about it, at the beginning I thought it was hilarious, but actually its kinda sad. And to Anony, don't worry about it too much, most of lbp is full of kids so don't feel bad about blocking them or re-stating your intentions on the level description.

Plus, most of the community here are kids, like what practically everyone else said, If I were to guess an age group, I'd guess 7-12 years old. Now, kids that young really want gfs? I'm 15, never had a girlfriend, don't plan on getting one until after I graduate highschool, I do have friends that are girls, and yes, I did have a few crushes here and there, but I restricted myself. The same reason why the kids who mostly go on LBP should not have girlfriends yet. It's not really necessary to have a girlfriend in their age. Not to mention, they're using a game designed to create, play, and share; and they're using it to catch women that they'll probably never meet in real life. It's really sad. Well, wasn't expecting to rant, sorry

If you'd like you can add me Anony I'm way older then a teenager and actually looking for friends who are more mature to help me in creat mode as I have so much to learn. I could really use your help if you're interested? And yeah I've had a couple young girls ask my age and then say things like your funny or ask one of there other little friends if they like me? The best possible solution to your problem - and easiest - is to say you're part of an alien super-race then proceed to slap pictures of you and your alien friends all over him before scaring him away with your signature alien chant. I had similar proble they threw the world love around me just because we had similar spiked hairstyles. One actually asked me to be their girlfriend -_- Anyway, you're not the problem they are so it's best to ignore them and keep your style and work the way it is.
