let a switch on "on" position

Archive: 6 posts

Hi, I'd juste like to know if there is an item that could let for exemple a toggle on "activated" position for ever once the detector linked to the toggle have been activated.

For exemple : I'd like to make a light shine when someone get near, and I don't want that light to turn off if the person goes away or get near the light a second time (like with a toggle).

Sorry for my english... If someone understood my question, please reply ^^

Thanks

If I understand you correctly, you want the light to come on and stay on. You need a perm switch triggered by the player sensor which is tuned to the desired area around your light.

There are a few ways to go about this nifty on and stay on bit of logic and I will let my buddy compher explain since he already typed up this handy tutorial.

If you just want it to come on and stay on, a Selector will do the trick.
Tip: higher numbered outputs on a Selector have higher priority. Output #2 will override output #1, and so on.

ooh, ooh, I know this one! I finally can answer one! hook a player sensor up to a counter that is set to 1 and then the counter to the light and there you go. person walks by, triggers the counter that triggers the light and it will stay on.2013-05-29 19:47:00

Yup.. another way to do a perm switch. Very good bio. You get a :star:

#3 in the tutorial provided... and as it says, can be reset if needed.
