Level description v

"Gee, it sure is boring around here." These are the last words you will say before you make the greatest mistake in your life. What mistake? Starting the chain of events that cause you to go on the cheapest adventure of All Time. After being manipulated by the moronic but loveable Mr. Beaver (lol @ cheap name) you deicde to go find some battery. Not really a "chain of events" but whatever who cares amirite?

So yeah. Finally finished this level after months of ignoring it. I blame not being able to sleep. It's a platformer and has the cheapest story I've ever thought up in less than a few minutes.

Will try to do F4F today. If not I won't be able to until next weekend. So... Yeah.

So apperently you can't get keys through switches. To anyone who played and wasn't able to get past the cutscenes, it should work now.2013-05-27 02:18:00

Hrmm. I was really enjoying this. I liked the platforming and the "puzzleness" of it and the design is great too! I ran into an issue though. I'm almost positive that this button was suppose to make something come out of that hole, but no matter how many times I pressed it, nothing happened. Was I doing something wrong?

Thanks guys. No idea how to fix the emitter .-. I've tried a million times to recreate said problem but it worked every time... Guess ill try a million more.

Edit: still couldn't recreate, so I just messed around with the logic and whatnot. Hopefully it works now....

I replayed and the emitter worked fine this time. : )

I have to say this series is genuinely (legit..?) hilarious. Your intro and the final cutscene are just laugh out out loud funny.

The central platforming section is very cool too. You had some fresh ideas in there and, as bio said, the "puzzlieness" of it is great. There were some cheap deaths but in the context of this level they don't really matter. They're all of a piece with the general subversiveness (and, yeah, I do know no one talks like that.. ).

Great stuff - it's pretty unusual for a level to be both that funny and have good gameplay. XD

Hey, finally got around to playing this. Wooo!

So yeah, the story is super-silly and pointless, but it did have me laughing multiple times so I'd say it gets the job done pretty well. (I especially enjoyed the "your" part, hee hee. )

The gameplay is nice and original, but there's a couple of things I felt was pretty unfair as I played through. I kept dying, not because of my lack of skillllz, but because I didn't know what that particular bouncepad or switch did. Half of my deaths was devoted to learning stuff, not failing miserably. In my mind you die because you make a mistake, not because the level is trying to teach you something.

Perhaps some more visual clues as to what the many switches do would be in order? For example, if a lever toggles between setting two different bouncepads on fire, have the lever visually wired into a toggle switch that goes to the bouncepads. Or maybe use colors/lights to illustrate what will happen? The levers do so many different things, so I was confused. Some sounds to go with the many switches wouldn't hurt either.
I also didn't get the deal with the last bouncy bit. That was cheap :b

Don't get me wrong though, the gameplay was very refreshing and I had a lot of fun.

Awesome story, neat gameplay, meh-tastic visuals. More please.

I only got to play the intro so far and I found it so funny I hearted it. Most humor on LBP falls flat and it's great to see a level from a creator who has genuine comedic sense. Despite the occasional meme humor the intro level remains incredibly funny, which is a really rare occurrence. I'll check out the actual meat of the level later, but count me impressed so far. I love the beaver so much.

After finally playing it, I found the gameplay to be overly trial and errorey, but fun nonetheless. The toggle sections were generally fine, and overall the level was really funny and inventive. Some things such as the sponge ball section didn't work 100% of the time, and I think the level could use much more polish in certain areas. Echoing what Mnniska said, it's a fun and inventive, but also kinda cheap level. Still great though, Mr. Beaver is definitely the highlight.

You might want to look into making "movies" or whatever you want to call them. They were really great.

Yay and a heart for you.

Thanks! I always like to include a mix of both (cheap) story and fun/challenging/whatever gameplay. So yeah.

Thanks Son. I actually did think of making things slightly more obvious but for whatever reason noped that idea. Will add later. As for the last bouncy bit, that was originally intended to be part of some crazy-fast-paced race. Not sure if that would have made it any better though...

Much appreciated. (I didn't want to use thanks again lol) Glad you found it funny. I try. (I really do despite what the dialog might have you think)

Sorry, just had to get that out there. Full review is in TLDR. Thanks for this awesome level!
