Making hologram material invisible and making sounds louder

Archive: 5 posts

I have a waterfall right to the side of a section of the track I'm currently working on. I tried putting a sound object playing a waterfall noise right on the fall itself, but when I try driving by, I can barely hear it. It's at max volume, so I'm not sure what else to adjust. One idea I had is to do something similar to the core LBP games and stick a piece of hologram material in the track and put the audio object on that, since you can't attach them directly to the track. However, I can't find a way to make the hologram invisible in Play mode like in LBP2. Does it work differently in this game, and is there another material I can use if holograms don't work here?2013-05-26 04:11:00

Force field is invisible, but you can't drive through it, so you have make sure it's somewhere the player won't drive. In the ground or water perhaps. Although, if you hide it in the ground it won't really matter what material it is, you can't see it anyway. 2013-05-26 11:09:00

Have you set up the Focus? It makes the sound more noticeable, the higher up you set it.2013-05-27 11:01:00

A trick to making any object or material "drive through" - connect any type of motor to the material and set the motor's Priority to Scenery instead of Gameplay. If you don't want the object to move, simply use a Toggle or Selector to keep the motor switched off.
Do this with Force Field and you've got invisible drive through material
