"Goldilocks Goes Gungho!"

Goldilocks is exploring the three bears' house (without permission!) and has a rollicking good time on the way. She better look out for the spilled porridge though, it's hot! She can double jump to reach high places and if she breaks things along the way... oh well! She might even find some hidden teddy bears if she's extra nosey..

Another level inspired by one of my children's bedtime story books. This is my first level using a sackbot and I used the same logic that worked in my "Parabolic Organica" level, all based on one of Comphermc's tutorials from a billion years ago now.

It has a basic double jump feature to reach high places. Goldilocks earns points by breaking things too so feel free to wreak havoc on the three bears' house.

This has not been play tested so I would really appreciate hearing about any rough spots from you all if you have the time.

Happy gadding!

EDIT: The inspiring book was "Animal Nursery Tales" by Richard Scarry.

Lol. I was the WORST little girl. If it could be broken, I BROKE IT. I really liked the save-point system with the hopping out of the drawers. I felt some of the teddies may have been a little inconveniently hidden. Several I would see them, I'd see HOW to get them, but I had no way back to get there. The level also starts with no instruction, so you might consider ANY sort of indicator, even a floating sticker panel to tell you that you are able to double jump. Very fun though!2013-05-24 14:10:00

It's in my queue. You can always give me a shout pre-release if you need help testing. I don't mind trying to break things. 2013-05-24 17:25:00

Thanks! Yes, I wondered about some sort of message at the start so have now added some instructions on double jumping, breaking things and finding teddies.

Oddly, the scoring for each teddy and then the final "teddies you found" area were showing on screen in black and not adding to the score. Since the hidden teddies were locked away in emitters and I couldn't be bothered re-emitting them, tweaking them and storing new I just added a tag sensor to the player's controllinator to pick up each teddy being triggered. As well I had to tweak this tag sensor's score giver AND the "teddies you found" area to "friends" so the score was dished out properly. Weird, because all the stars and broken items gave points without issue and their score givers were IDENTICAL to the teddies.

Phew!

So, a second playthrough should give you a better score

Also, I wanted the teddies to be visible once you had passed them to sort of say "well, you missed a part!" and make you ponder. Make them tantalisingly out of reach so completionists are compelled to do a second run through.

Thanks, preoriaspitfire, I've been out of LBP for a while playing Arkham city, Bioshock Infinite and Dishonor so hadn't thought to ask me old mates! If I get inspired again soon I'll give you a tinkle. Thanks for your cool review!
