Help Sackboy in his quest to play LittleBigPlanet. The only thing in his way are...his chores? (Also, the fact that seemingly all the doors in his house are locked using random hidden switches doesn't help.)

Some outdated pictures:

There's an (outdated) HD video of the level on YouTube!

This was an old level I made back in LBP1 that I've updated and republished in LBP2. I tried to keep it all LBP1 even though I've added some things. This level is more of a relaxing platformer so don't expect super fast-paced bounce pad action . I would really appreciate any feedback!

Thank you very much, I would love to hear what you think about it whenever you get a chance to play.

Edit:
Changed characters to custom characters and erased Mm Sackboy models
Fixed lighting and cameras in certain areas

Okay, you MUST MUST MUST double-check some logic things on this. It was very fun, but it left a lot of things up to chance.

1. Living Room: Move the right-most chair a little further right. With the table as close as it was, my sackperson kept auto-layer-switching making it a pain to get onto the backrest.
2. Book Case: Glue some of the stray books down, and possibly consider laying the last one flat. It was very had to precision jump to.
3. Bedroom: Change the material of the bed pillow, or the color, or ANYTHING so it doesn't look like a doormat.
4. Bedroom: Put a blockade in place so you can't push your T-Shirt down the stairs.
5. Supermarket: In the shopping area, put microchips on the pushable food items with the following logic:

Impact Sensor, Require Tag YES (Select a Tag Color) -> Destroyer Splat, Yes to Rigid Connections.
Then put tags on the tile floors, and emitters on the shelves to emit the necessary items.

6. Supermarket: The grocery bag you get back, vanishes! So I wasn't able to finish the level.

The style is very LBP1-ish. Simple, but fun. Some great work on the perspective scenes.

1. Living Room: Move the right-most chair a little further right. With the table as close as it was, my sackperson kept auto-layer-switching making it a pain to get onto the backrest.

Fixed. I noticed this problem in the video on the first post but I thought I fixed it by making the backrest shorter. Hopefully it's fixed now, if not I'll make it so that you can't even get on that back table.

2. Book Case: Glue some of the stray books down, and possibly consider laying the last one flat. It was very had to precision jump to.

Fixed. Put some invisible DM so that you can't get into the bookcase, put a small amount of invisible DM around the last book so it's a little easier to jump on.

3. Bedroom: Change the material of the bed pillow, or the color, or ANYTHING so it doesn't look like a doormat.

Fixed. Changed the color of the pillow to light blue.

4. Bedroom: Put a blockade in place so you can't push your T-Shirt down the stairs.

Fixed. I could've swore I had some DM there to block you from moving anything to the right.

All the food items have a tag sensor on them that dissolves them and there's a tag in front of the cart in case anything is in the way. I put some tags on the ground so they disappear whenever they fall on the ground.

6. Supermarket: The grocery bag you get back, vanishes! So I wasn't able to finish the level.

Sorry about that. When did it vanish? I have the emitter to infinite lifetime so that really shouldn't happen. Are you talking about when you bring it back to the kitchen? That's when it should've vanished and opened the basement door.

The style is very LBP1-ish. Simple, but fun. Some great work on the perspective scenes.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Sweet. I'm totally pumped to replay this. The best part was getting to wreck the little girls room. (I assume it was a girl's.) I pushed EVERYTHING off the shelves onto her bed. Won't she be surprised when she gets home. 8D2013-05-24 20:40:00

Haha! That's probably one of my favorite parts of the level, when you finish it and think back you've actually made a bigger mess than there was when you first started. The reason for that is that you're playing as a little kid (which is also why everything is so colorful and semi-cartoony, the sky is really blue, the grumpy old man's face at the beginning looks distorted because that's what the kid sees when he sees anger). I hope you enjoy!2013-05-25 19:21:00

I got stuck again, but this time I think I know the exact reason why.

The cheese puffs have the same type of tag as the eventual spot in the kitchen that will destroy the grocery bag, don't they? XD I use the cheese puffs to get up to the ketchup shelf, and they stay behind.

Whaaa...that shouldn't have been possible, all the items should dissolve once they touch the ground. I fixed this too, the bag has it's own tag now (I didn't do this earlier because I had to use every color tag in the supermarket but I found a way to get around this) and also all the items actually dissolve once they touch the ground. Thanks for playing again!2013-05-27 00:18:00

I have to admit to getting stuck too, I didn't realise I was only supposed to get one of each item - I presumed they'd dissolve in the trolly and award points. So I filled my trolly with cheese puffs, all of them. I did manage to throw a few out and get the items up to the ketchup in, but when I reached the freezer my trolly was piled so high I an item was crushed by the pressure from fitting through the small gap.

The only way around it would be Kato's suggestion using emitters, but now I know what i did wrong I'm quote looking forward to playing again as I was enjoying it. Will give some more detailed feedback when I've finished it.

There are actually emitters for all of the items you need, if you drop every single box it will emit a new one. I should probably add "only one of each" to the mouth at the beginning. Thank you for playing, I'm really glad you enjoyed and I look forward to your feedback!2013-05-27 19:11:00

Got through all the way last night. XD WITH THE HIGH-SCORE I MIGHT ADD. (YES!)

It does give a wonderful perspective of being a naughty little kid. Excepting that my little sack-dude looks like too much like a bodybuilder to be a kid. XD Maybe he's got a myostatin deficiency! Anyway, I had quite a lot of fun with this level. I still think some logic could be touched up, but it was still extremely enjoyable. If you'd like, I could give it a TLDR review in my review topic if you want a full rundown of my thoughts.

I would love that! (Especially the part about logic needing to be touched up)

Finally had a moment to replay this and I was glad I did. I really enjoyed the LBP1 feel that the level had, and loved the fact that I was viewing the world from the perspective of a child. The design of the level is really good, especially the basement which looks fantastic, I almost didn't want to trigger the scoreboard.

The gameplay was entertaining and mostly without glitches, I did get stuck in the vase on the right of the living room and had to pop, unless its deliberate I would make it solid or cap it off. The only other issue I had was with the lights in the supermarket, I would be tempted to change the string for rods as the string goes a bit elastic-crazy sometimes.

Thanks for an entertaining and enjoyable level.
