The Incredible Noble Steed Contest

I've got a contest for you guys. Create a level? Nah! Too time consuming. We all have our projects and presently my project is to scare the pants off of everybody. (Which could probably be done just by posting picture of myself but....) And so I bring to you....

GOAL: The Goal is to create something, anything, a sackperson can ride around in. Horse, robot, car, rainbow caterpillar, Angelic Flower Pot whatever!

REQUIREMENTS: Object must be controlinator powered, and easy to get into, with a function to exit the controlinator at any time. (Just link a button to eject player!)

RULES:
1. Nothing derogatory or offensive. If you're riding around in a minstrel-show character it's not going to fly. XD
2. Object doesn't NEED to be animated. If you can craft an amazing looking static unicorn do so.
3. Despite the above, functionality will be judged. Heck, a fancy unicorn could use a button to fire rainbows out of its butt and whinny.
4. Any vehicles are acceptable, no matter how unconventional, as long as you can get around in them.
5. Any mode of transportation is fine. Walking, rolling, flying, bouncing, teleporting... Just make sure you ride it using a controlinator.
***NEW*** 6. If you're using music or global lighting effect, or any other environmental changes, please limit the changes to only trigger WITHIN RANGE OF THE CONTROLINATOR.

EXAMPLES: Go play the Avalonia levels. XD The Bee 2.0, Hamstertron, Camel, Puppy and Rabbit are all perfect examples.

PRIZES: I was trying to think of a suitable prize, so since I'm an artist, here's what I've come up with.

1st Place - A full color artwork from me of your choice of Sackperson with the vehicle you have made.

2nd Place - A full color artwork of your choice of sackperson.

3rd Place - A full color artwork of your vehicle. (No Sackpersons.)

JUDGING: I'll take two other judges if you would like to help but don't want to enter. Being a judge means you can't win the contest. Entries will be graded on Originality, Functionality, Visual Design, and Fun Factor. Fun Factor means you could create an amazing looking device, but if it half-heartedly rolls around and gets stuck on stray microbes, then it's not very fun is it?

DUE DATE: Negotiable. Sometime in June.

I'll have to keep myself from saying anything else. You're the first entrant, so I'll grab the bubble tonight, and give it a test drive.

I'll toss together a simple, temporary hub this weekend when I take down Boss Mix 1. I'll have a logo, a unicorn, a car, and a UFO. (Very simple things.) and a test track with some ramps, road, puddles, etc. Mainly just simple scenery. XD		2013-06-04 22:12:00

Depends on how silly they are. If they're flashing their junk then yes, it's probably offensive. XD Rule of thumb: If you wouldn't show it to somebody else's grandma then don't do it.2013-06-09 18:24:00

Wow those other entries look pretty good! To be honest I think I should've put more effort into the looks of mine 'cause its basically a cardboard cut-out with stickers and wheels on it.

Announcement to contestants. There's an unforseen addition to the rules I need to make. Unforseen as in 'I didn't think of this problem until now'.

When you make your vehicles, if you're including a global lighting or music effect to it, please REDUCE THE RANGE of these things to the area of the Controlinator. It's kind of messing up all the theming I got for the hub when the moment a vehicle plops down the whole tone and setting changes.

You CAN still use these things just... make the range smaller.		2013-06-11 13:33:00

I'm building a little bit of the Contest Hub each day. At present it is up and working (mostly), so you can try out the thee contest entries on the test track. Track Features will be added next, as well as some decor. The track will have a few controllable dynamic features, letting you select if you want water during the water section, a ramp during the ramp section, bouncy during the bounce section as well as selectable global lighting, music, and gravity. This way you can customize your experience.

All Vehicles will be equipped with a reset feature meaning when all's said and done you can press a button to get rid of all the vehicles at once and start fresh.

So enough jabbering, here's the hub with current entries. Keep checking back daily for more updates.

Edit: I have one critique, which I'm going to need you to make for the contest. You can exit the controlinator, but you can't exit the vehicle. Could you throw in a sun room and maybe a bounce pad so we can get fully out of the car?		2013-06-16 18:16:00

Oh yeah! I forgot about that bit, I'm terribly sorry but you'll have to wait untill Friday because I'm only free on Fridays and weekends.

But I think you can just hook up the circle button to an emitter which shoots an automatically enter controlinator which you dismount when sackboy enters.

Uploading pics is easy but takes a few steps.

1. Take a photo. You can do this with the sticker photo tool in the sticker section of your pop-it.
2. When you've taken the photo, go to the Stickers section of your pop-it, find the photo, select it, and click Upload.
3. Go to http://lbp.me/u/xtrahuman and make sure you see your image there.
4. Publish ANY level with your vehicle collectible in a prize bubble.
5. Let me know where to find the prize bubble, and photo.
