Hello LBPC! I present you my latest level, LBP remake one of my favorite PSN game flOw. This was the project what I wanted to make a long time ago, I started to make it and allways deleted. So Im very happy that I finally somehow complete it. I really tried to make everything look and feel alive and make a lot of moving organic objects, like fishes and all that kind of stuff, I wanted to make more but unfortunately when my thermo blew up I had to gave up. Also I didnt want to that main "creature" look just like from the original game, I wanted to make it my own version. To be honest this is my hardes project so far and my first non platformer level, personally Im very happy with this. Special thanks goes to my friends: D4RKSM0KEHUNT3R and Zippopot for their help. Great Level, but please for the LOVE OF GOD MAKE L3 an optional choice for controls. Also, move compatible would be sweet. Visuals outstanding especially those blobs, I wish I could eat em as well Great Job Omie | 2013-05-14 23:32:00 Author: L-I-M-I Posts: 611 |
A few people have complained about that sixaxis, I perhaps might to change that. I just wanted to be loyalty to that original game Actually my friend Zippopot told me when he was helping, that maybe you should make it sixaxis like the original game, it was controlled by sticks before. But when mad scientist Zippopot made his magic work on my creature, I kinda fell instantly love in that sixaxis. | 2013-05-17 15:52:00 Author: OmieR Posts: 76 |

That was a great experience because this level really is different. It's not that much gameplay and not that impressive visuals, but it's absolutely fun to play and nice to float through this kind of sea. Great level | 2013-05-18 02:02:00 Author: avundcv Posts: 2526 |
Hi OmieR, I played this last week. Visually it looks great! It really has a nice ambiance, good job there. The controls were finicky for me, I often ended up wrapping around and sticking to my tail which broke the "flow" a bit for me. Other times my creature would seem to just not respond then suddenly have a large movement in one direction. Much respect to you for all the logic and material work needed to make this work! I would consider adding an L3 option for control though, or have the creature follow a MOVE cursor. Thanks for sharing! | 2013-05-18 20:54:00 Author: aratiatia Posts: 374 |
You've created a very nice environment here and sure enjoyed relaxing in it. I didn't find a real issue with the controls, but a stick option wold have been a nice add. Maybe the places where people are mentioning the controls acting goofy are the edges whe you have it invisibly blocked off. A far as I could tell, it didn't seem like you could die anywhere. Is that right? Great job! | 2013-05-23 05:56:00 Author: peoriaspitfire Posts: 359 |

Is that right? Great job! No you cannot die anywhere, the whole idea is just flowing around eating other creatures and grow until you reach the "final" stage and final creature what will finnish the game, or like I said you can end your game if you are not intrested to explore all stages. And yes, when you hit the invisible wall, the controls might feel goofy cause the creature stars acting weird when you are hitting invisible walls. And as I said, most people have not play the original game and the controls might feel goofy, and because the creature is so long its really heavy and to some people hard to control. When the creature was smaller it was very fast and easy to controll. The problem is when I made creature that big to move fast, it started to brake everytime unfortunately. | 2013-05-23 18:13:00 Author: OmieR Posts: 76 |
My roommate flipped out when she saw your flOw level. XD I've never played the original, but SHE LIKED IT so. I'll put in my vote as well for an optional control variety, since the thing steers like a barge. XD (Plus I recline in odd positions while playing.) The creatures had odd collisions. I kept wondering if their appearance would be sacrificed if replaced with a collision-free material like hologram or sticker panel. Not bad 'tall though! | 2013-05-23 19:30:00 Author: Kato Posts: 732 |
