Mm's Unshared goodies.

Archive: 18 posts

And by unshared goodies, I mean turn on your PS3, Place a sentry turret, tweak the player sensor thing, and make its radius small enough so you can see it all.
For those of you too lazy to do that, heres the generic reaction:

ZOMFG ITS ONLY HALF A CIRCLE!
THAT is how the story mode items only shoot if you are on their left side. No hidden sensors elsewhere.

I just saw this and thought I should tell you all.

If you mean the turrets hanging off the ceiling that you have to sneak by without getting caught by the light or else they shoot...

They're triggered by the spotlights that have a half(quarter?) circle sensor area.

The spotlights are switchs.

I think he's referring to the normal turrets, apparently this is another thing Mm have used in their MGS pack that the community can't use yet.
That feature is probably coming with the cornish yarg Patch which arrives in about 5 weeks

ZOMG?

I think MM is mean. They don't give us the stuff that they have. Would it hurt them in anyway? No. So give us cool stuff too.

They don't keep it to themselves to be mean. They wait until it and a few other things are ready to be released then release it. Like the Global Settings switch. It wasn't ready for release in the MGS Pack, and while it probably is now, it's best to be efficient and group things like that together, especially if you want to sell them.

They leave things out until they work properly. Remember last year when the game was first out and the lights didn't keep their colours properly despite working in MM levels (I had to crush a dog just to get a red light) it would be much worse if some high profile add on was buggy, the games had enough negative coverage already.2009-01-24 23:37:00

If they try to sell the pack to me, Im going stomp a puppy! Ill probably buy it after that, but jeez I already dished out six bucks for the MGS pack, I shouldnt have to spend another six bucks just because the enviormental tool didnt work when they made it, It had better be free or my sackboys gonna have an angryface for a month!2009-01-25 01:38:00

No, like I said if they did sell it they would probably include other tools in it as well. They wouldn't make you pay $6 for a Global Settings Switch. That being said, I could see them selling it for $1. I'd buy it without complaining.

I'm not saying Mm is mean or anything, I AM saying that they have things we don't.
So yes, I'm saying Mm is magical.

BTW, I WAS referring to the Sentry Turrets, the most commonly found one in the MGS pack.

They like to test things stuff like wind and gravity settings weren't released with the original game because they wanted further testing to get it right. I'm sure things like this are the same... in some way.2009-01-31 21:41:00

Yeah... I think we should try and take apart all of their creations to try and find anything that they have not given us yet. Using this method you can also tweak the color of lazers. Which is a pretty nice light show effect if you know what i mean.

Cheers!

What about ice anyone? I wonder if they are still planning on releasing it. If you don't know what I'm talking about search 'littlebigplanet ice hazard'.2009-02-01 22:23:00

If you walk left at the start of the MGS VR Training, you'll see a green switch. But what's this? That's not a Magnetic Switch!2009-02-02 01:15:00
