Forlorn Valley of the Fallen
*The journey of the lost shadow begins in the Forlorn Valley of the Fallen.* Once a boy with horns, the lost shadow must reunite with his lost soul.* The evil being known as Dormin is slowly gaining strength as he consumes souls all across the land in hopes to be reborn.* But only a true heart can stop this evil force, but only once the lost shadow finds his soul.* They are drawn toward the Forgotten Ruins of the Forsaken Desert as the lost soul journeys from the eastern gate.* The lost shadow takes his first steps of the journey in the valley on the edge of the western mountain ridge.*
*This level is the first in the series for the journey of the lost shadow.* This part of the series will tentatively be 4 levels with a fifth level in the Forsaken Desert.* The next level will be called One Wind Blows in the Whispering Woods and will be published at a later time.* This level features music by Links_r_us and Buddydestruction.* Also, the dialogue is all poetic just like all the other levels before this one in the series.* The gameplay is a mix between platforming and puzzle solving.* You can also find point bubbles worth 2000 points.* Hope you enjoy it and any feedback would be awesome and appreciated.*
*If you are interested in more of the series you can play the following levels which are the journey of the lost soul as he heads toward the Forsaken Desert from the east:* The Stone Bridge, Darkening Dreams, The Hollows of Thornwood Thicket, and Eastern Gate to the Forsaken Desert (all of which are on my old psn SX_Shookie99).

I played this earlier today and loved it! As I said in my in-game review, it's such a long time since I've played a "proper" puzzle platformer and this was a really good one. The puzzles were well designed and really made me think. I had a lot of fun working out how to progress and how to get the prize bubbles. It reminded me of some of zynax555's levels - and that's a good thing

it looks beautiful too, like the rest of this series, and was just a pleasure to play.

Really nice to have such a thoughtful level! <3

Now I just have to replay and try not to die (twice!) on those circles with the sponges...grr!

Thanks for the pics and all the kind words. Really does mean a lot.

But, this level, along with the other levels on my earth are now locked.

It there a reason for that? This level was awesome, one of you best in my opinion. I loved all of the neat little puzzles. Hopefully you'll bring them all back relatively soon.2013-05-05 01:48:00

Reasons I won't go into. I am glad you liked it. Very few people can appreciate the huge amount of time you put in a level, the artistry, the poetry, and evidently only a few people keen enough to solve a few simple box related puzzles.

Did you know your work inspired Eastern Gate to the Forsaken Desert?

Well, the community is incredibly varied, and inevitably you'll run into the younger crowd who aren't as good at solving puzzles. I wouldn't let it get to you, because while there are lots of kids, there are tons of people who still appreciate your (really great) work. You have multiple Mm picks for a reason: you make really good levels that people love.

Also, no. I assumed it was inspired by zynax555, ICO and Zelda. Was it older LBP1 levels? Regardless, it's cool that I inspired a level I loved earlier on LBP2.

Should I include an optional hint system? I really didn't think the puzzle solving aspect was all that hard to figure out.2013-05-05 20:51:00

I liked the level a lot! Personally I don't think you should include a hint-system. I enjoyed the time figuring and wondering about the puzzles (Not that they were mind-bending) I really would like to replay it, but since it's locked I can't really do anything about it

I just want you to know (And I don't think I'm alone when I say this) that I really appreciate your work! You have created amazing levels with very inspiring elements that a quite unique!

Shookie...played this tonight and found it BRILLIANT, uniquely refreshing, cerebral and visually stimulating, as well as compelling. The phrasing was beautiful and thought provoking. You took me on a wonderful journey, and I was devastated when the level ended so soon. But you succeeded in leaving me wanting more...much more. I will be your number one fan if you make a Part 2. It's a well deserved Like, Heart and a BRAVO!!! 2013-05-09 03:59:00

I didn't leave feedback so far. Shame on me

This is an excellent platform level with really clever riddles.
You created a great adventure and I enjoyed to be the adventurer.

Great level
