Cherokee

Deep beneath the hollows of the Appalachian mountains, long before the resorts and casinos, there was a wooden paradise of platforming perfection to test ones skill and merit. The natives called in Cherokee.

Been working on this one for almost three months. Sorry if it seems short, but the thermo was getting hot.

Let me know if you have any problems.

I'll do f4f for anyone leaving a review.

Thanks!

I just played your level, and here are my impressions (also written down in a review for your level):

"]This level reminds me of the levels in the first world of the story, and that's something good. It also has some kind of Mexican influence, I think. When you die in the 'scrolling tower', it can be really hard to go on further: it happened multiple times that I respawned directly under spikes, and I couldn't get away quickly enough (so I died again...).
Additional notes (I don't know if there's a limit on characters, so I decided to only put the most important stuff in the review):

Just after the race started, I jumped behind the spikes and fell down. I don't know how I did it, and it also wasn't possible for me to do it again, but maybe you could add some spikes behind there as well?

But, overall, thank you for this level! It was a fantastic experience, and I'm looking forward to your future levels!

And would you like to play my level and leave some feedback? You can find it on LBP.me (http://vita.lbp.me/v/c8j78) or take a look at the thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=79514-Sackville-s-hero) I've made.

Finally, does anyone know why happened has been changed into ******** in the review?

Things removed because it makes sense to me now:

As noted in the review, it's really hard in the 'scrolling tower (http://vita.lbp.me/p/9gjhp)' to stay alive once you've died. However, the time you have to change platforms after one of the spiky things has been removed is quite short. Maybe a sound signal to indicate which one is going to disappear is handy? That way, you can jump to another platform on time, making it easier to stay alive. In my opinion, right now, it's impossible to stay alive in this part of the level without knowing which spiky thingy is going to disappear. (I hope it makes sense what I'm saying right here. My knowledge of the English language is not great, so maybe I'm saying it really difficult)

-------------------------------------------------
And it looks like Cherokee is already Team Picked! Congratulations!

Okay, so I played this level and here are my thoughts:

The gameplay was very inventive, it has a lot of unique platforming mechanics. The scrolling tower at the end was a great idea. Together with the bubble combos it was a nice challenge for me. The difficulty in this level was balanced perfectly. It was increasing together with the player's progress. This level also has a medium length which makes it a perfect platformer.

The spikes placed all around gave it a dangerous feeling. One false step and you look like Swiss cheese. Also, good job on the stickering and camera settings.
Another platforming greatness from VelcroJonze. Excellent job! + http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/q559/Schark6000/Other%20stuff/heart.png

Thanks for the in depth review.

I appreciate your suggestions too. I fixed the part where you can fall out the level. Thanks so much for pointing that out to me.

That's what I love about the forums. Feedback is crucial to making these levels better.

I will gladly play your level and will leave you some feedback in your thread.

How the heck did you get over 55000 points?! That's just impossible, even for me! xD

Lol, I never got over 50,000 in all the times I play tested it. 55,000 must be possible though if Nys got it. :hero:

I guess if you hit all the bubble chains, and make a perfect run through the race segment.

I am impressed with the high scores on this.

I should have set that last achievement star to 50,000 instead of 40,000.

Well I did this multiple times and aced the level, but my highest score was about 53000 points.

There must be some sneaky trick for this. >_>

Okay, I have made a few updates over the last couple days. Mainly trying to keep people from falling out of the level. There were three ways Sackboy's were getting to the floor, but I think I have finally fixed those problems.

Hopefully no more updates are coming. I am kind of ready to leave this level alone.

I apologize to anyone who had this in their DL list, and had to update it.

I added a couple more stickers and one hard to get to prize bubble worth a few extra points.

If anyone finds anymore problems, please post in this thread or PM me.

Thanks for the plays, I do appreciate them.
