Best Headset?

Archive: 16 posts

Hey I'm getting a headset for my PS3 and I was wondering if anyone has this one and if it's any good?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Vantage-USB-Headset-PLAYSTATION/dp/B000U7JG7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1219008118&sr=8-1

Bit late now as I've already ordered it but I guess it'd be nice to get confirmation of the generally very good reviews it got.

I've heard loads of bad things about Bluetooth headsets and this has a long cord.

Not bad. I use an old Jabra that works perfectly. What'd you hear bad about Bluetooth? Never had any problems.2008-08-17 22:31:00

I heard that some have bad crackling noises making conversation inaudible and connection issues. It also seems that the quality of a headset varies a lot, like one headset might have connection issues and the replacement might be fine and it seems to be a very common problem. I heard this particularly in reference to the Madcatz PS3 headset.

Also this one is cheap, does what I want it to do and I didn't really want to spend loads on a very good Bluetooth headset. How much is the Jabra one?

**** I just found this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jabra-BT125-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B000LIWVAI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1219009471&sr=8-2

Should I get it instead?

If you want to pay a lot, get the newest Jawbone for 130. It destroys all noise and fits great. Heres a review from my dads site Gadgetnutz (http://www.gadgetnutz.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=00461) which I just happen to write for under my name of Haydn. 2008-08-17 23:08:00

Yeah, any one should. Some of the Jabras are really hard to sync, just have a safety pin.2008-08-18 01:19:00

Same here. Mine was 30$. I noticed a significant decrease in sound quality compared to my wired Xbox 360 headset, but it's good enough.

ANY headset that uses Bluetooth will work. I'm pretty sure EVERY U.S. headset uses bluetooth. But im not positive.

I use my wired socom ps2 headset. Works great. I love the mute button. When LBP comes out I'll probably have the Socom Bluetooth with mute button headset. 2008-08-20 10:19:00
