Power Up PowerPlant 2

ello! Just published a new level called Power Up PowerPlant 2. Same as number 1 were you play through a power plant style level while using a number of power up as you work your way along. Personaly I think this one is easier then the first, but have been told otherwise.

There is also a unique (at least I think it is) check point system here:
http://lbp.me/p/q9tbv6p

With this, the check point is on a cycle and the button, when hit, will activate the selected check point and destroy the 2 un-selected. But be carefull, as you progress through the level the cycle is faster, so be sure you have good timing

Also this level has 16 secrets that will drive you loopy trying to find them all! 7 Score bubbles hidden around the level, remember to look in every nook n cranny! Another 7 'Skill' secrets, these are not visable and are more logical. Use the power ups to reach places not normaly reach-able, complete an obstical without using the givven power up, or just be a jolly good shot with the paint gun!
These could (or could not ) be some ways to finding these types of secrets.

There are 2 more 'super secret' secrets i added just to annoy a chuffing awesome community member who has, untill now, found all my secrets and completed all my levels with a high score to boot!

If that is not enough, there is a bloody good tune by Links_R_us and a few bubbles dotted about the place

All feed back and reviews will be read and are welcome, good or bad.
Hope you enjoy ^^

I've got it queued for tonight. I'll give it a shot, though I'm never any good at finding secrets.2013-04-26 16:04:00

I second Peoria, I really do dig your levels and though I'll probably hurl yet another controller at the wall, it is queued.

NOTE: I've never actually "hurled" a controller at the wall.

Was very unforgiving at times, this level, but that made it more satisfying when I did beat the sections. I'm glad I managed to hit the infinite life checkpoint every time, that's for sure. I did have a rather moronic moment where I didn't realise my wayward paintball shots were losing me points.

Another great level, I really don't know how you haven't been MM picked yet for any of your levels..... but then it's hard to compete against such innovative and technically brilliant ideas such as shaking your controller to activate a randomiser.

BTW, I did manage to "break" it at one point. I've uploaded a pic which probably isn't helpful at all, but it was at the place where you swing across on the moving objects (after deactivating the thing that was on fire). I just managed to fall below it and land outside the level.

Fantastic level! I just love the combination of technical challenge in terms of simply getting through each obstacle and the mental workout involved in finding those secrets! Like I said in my review of the first Power Up Power Plant, I get real sense of you taking an impish delight in putting us all through it!

The gameplay is wonderful ? so inventive and clever. There were things in there I just haven?t seen before?and I play a lot of levels! That paintball wall is such a great idea ? even if it did STEAL all my points the first time I came across it?and possibly the second time too if I?m honest! The checkpoint system is really cool too. It caught me out a couple of times; when going for infinite checkpoints (just to allow me to explore for secrets, of course *cough*) I kept ending up with single checkpoints instead, lol! Just deserts!

And as for the secrets ? wow, devious doesn?t begin to cover it!

For those who don't use Twitter (or do, but don't follow Tom or me ) I should say that when Tom was tweeting about this sequel he mentioned that the secrets were not going to be as baffling as those in the first Power up Power Plant level. Extremely rashly I replied ?Shame!? and Tom, unable to resist this gauntlet, then said he?d added a couple of extra secrets to make me regret that statement! So I was really nervous when I started playing last night ? I almost felt like I was taking a test! BUT I had no idea that he had actually added my name to his level. I was so shocked when the word ?Shropshire? appeared out of the air Cheshire cat style when I reached an out of the way spot! Sooo cool! I?m so honoured ? I can?t say! Then the realisation dawned that now I absolutely HAD to find ?Lass? too *gulp*?and the relief when I finally did, phew! Especially as the 5,000 bonus is the only thing making my final score look at all respectable!!

I still have only just scraped the surface with the other secrets, though, and as for the skill points?hmm I may need back up there: only 3/7 so far. I can see that I?m going to be spending a lot of time in this level! Good job it's such a lot of fun!

Thank you ? both for an outstanding level and for the extra secret challenge. It both made me laugh and touched me too! And yes, before I found them, you did make me sweat and wish I could retract my brave words on Twitter!

Just Played Power Up 1 & 2, i especially enjoy the level design based on an heterodox concept : keeping all along your tool (power up which means either paintinator or grabinator etc...) avoiding the red cross removing obstacle.

Furthermore with this new part, i find clever the lottery checkpoint system even if i didn't realize what it was the first time i meet it lol, it was nearly fatal to me =^.^=, the challenge is more important but nothing impossible

Bonus/secret edit: don't count on me for finding all secret parts i'm too bad at it generally , i accidentally found the Skill one

Just fantastically evil. I can't believe my controller is still in one piece! I didn't finish, but I just know I could have if I were 10 years younger. The way you use those removers is quite a little trademark and they drive me batty. Love your work.2013-04-28 08:04:00

Hello Tom

We playd this with 2 players, and we had a really great fun. Nice idea to use 3 different checkpoint system, we allways tried to select infinite checkpoint but accidentally selected limited. And that where real fun started, running out of the checkpoint, and I said that we are not gonna make it, we are gonna fail this. But just somehow we allways made to the next checkpoint.

Gameplay is really fun and tricky, no we didnt find all the secrets or all the skills, but we felt like heroes after reaching the end.

Great have you back, hope you will stay you are one of my favorite creators!
