Update: I decided to add more details and make the level longer adding a level hub, so I'll take a while to finish this remake. Thanks for the reviews and plays

Hello guys! I've finally finished a level I started back in 2011, I'm really happy with the result and I hope everyone enjoy it.

'The path to: El Dorado' really is my best level, is a platformer and an exploring level, with a lot of details and sounds. In this level you will need to find 'Golden Spheres' which is the only way to collect points, some are easy to find and some others difficult. I wanted it to be longer and a bit more detailed but the thermometer didn't allow me to do so. This is the first time I write so much in a level thread so you can tell how excited I'm about this haha. Well just enjoy my level and let me know what you think.

Here are some picts:

Hey glad to see you finished. I stopped playing the level before I made the scoreboard. There was quite a bit of lag for me but that's not why I stopped. When you reach the water, I fell down in it while trying to jump over a gap in two different spots. I didn't see any way to get back on the platform from the water, it was too high up to reach. I had to pop myself twice. So am I missing something there? Is there a way to get out? Let me know and I will replay it later.2013-04-26 22:09:00

Hey Shookie, no there's no mistake, being trapped is actually the most common way to die in my level. So just play it again play haha. I could not avoid the lag for more that I tried to eliminate it. Let me know what you think of it when you finished it.

Great level with wonderful visuals.
Ok, to be honest, I hate this walls where you can walk for some seconds
I wasn't able to finish it, but I'll try ii again, when I have more patience ^^

However: great level!!!

Well... It was a bit short in my opinion... But hey, not every level needs to be a very long experience, as long as it's interesting, right? It just needs to nail its content to be great. That raises the question if this is such a level.

The moment I entered here, I thought to myself that the visuals looked pretty amazing. The artistic style in the beginning outdoor area was simply fascinating and truly inspiring. I also like the shimmer of the price-bubbles (I'll get into them later) and even they added a nice tone to the setting. However the visuals kind of lose their amazing atmosphere the moment one enters the indoor area. The background there is blank and while that could be excused if the level had a good lighting in those parts, I don't think you used any lights to enhance the mood. While it wouldn't always be a bad thing, here it does take out of experience.

This level doesn't really nail the visual area as much as it has potential to, but how does it do audio-wise? Overall... Not really? The music adds little to the experience, but at least there were a few sound effects (quite a few) and therefore... Well, the sounds here are average.

The gameplay is what I consider the most important part of any level and I have even said: "I would prefer playing a level with good gameplay and decent visuals over a level with decent gameplay and amazing visuals any day." I still stand by my words and therefore you can take this as the most important factor in the level's score.

I liked the way you made us gather points by investing more of our time into the gameplay. While it isn't an exactly fresh mechanic, it works here well as it adds a feeling that you really are hunting for treasures (since it's a path to El Dorado). The platforming itself is good.It doesn't stun with its style and while there are a few parts I would prefer left out (including the part where you grab the ceiling and swing your way to the other side, as it's the most lazy excuse for gameplay there is, in my opinion). However, in the end there are more good things here than there are bad and with the addition of the points to be found here it is well above average. However I still feel like it's a bit short.

Visuals: 7/10
Audio: 5/10
Gameplay: 7/10
Conclusion: 6,3/10 Pretty good!

So in the end, it is a good level and I can only suggest people that it's worth a play. However, if you feel like my review here was unfair at parts, which is totally acceptable as these are only my opinions, feel free to oppose this review as much as you want/like/can. Still know that in the end, I really liked the level.

Wow amazing review! I would have like to add even more details (Stickers, Decorations, Lights) but i was unable since the thermo was full, And i didn't wanted to use a level link (which I personally kind of hate) or using emitter and destroyers to make space in thermo; so thats really as long and as detailed I could made it. Also i spent a lot of time working with sound effects, but they may be miss out if you don't turn up your volume. One of the facts I haven't hear about my level is: the originality, I dont think I used any mechanic seem in another level, or even the style of my level itself. Anyway amazing review, and thanks for taking your time playing my level.

This was a great level. I like how it looks like the water is pushing some of the platforms. However I found it a little too short. I guess a short great level is always better then a long decent level. Hope you continue to make levels.2013-05-06 21:03:00
