Making objects go invisible mid-gameplay

Archive: 6 posts

Likely a stupid question.
How do you make objects go invisible when in play mode?

I've played levels where you walk into a building and the wall blocking the building's insides dissapears.
Do they just have it to destroy when you walk in, and re-emit when you come out? or is there a better way to do it?

I'm afraid that's the only way to do it. I recommend using the Fade option on the destroyer and emitter.2013-04-26 00:03:00

There's another solution if you have the Move Pack.

1. Create a box in the shape of the room.
2. Put a black color sticker on it covering the whole thing.
3. Tweak the sticker-panel settings so the opacity when off is 0%
4. Set a trigger, like a player sensor or something, to the stick panel.
5. When you're outside the room you see black nothingness. When you're inside, you see the room!

Kato is right, this is a one way to do it. And since we are talking of LBP Vita, the sticker panel is there as a default. If you set the player sensor to "signal strenght" you can make a cool effect that the wall fades slowly away when you enter the building.
