Remove the Online Pass
Archive: 8 posts
LBP1 and LBP2 didn't have online passes, and since I live in another country, and PS Store is not available in that country, AND I've made a cool level featuring a cow that poops out screaming bacon, AND I need an online pass to get to the community, that means I can't share my bacon cow. I thought LBP was Play, Create, Share and not Play, Create, Cannot Share because PSN is a bunch of removed-inappropriate. | 2013-04-24 06:48:00 Author: Unknown User |
For a game that freezes online as much as this one, I don't know what my money for the online pass has gone towards. | 2013-04-24 16:09:00 Author: Unknown User |
The online pass is to try and get rid of the second-hand game dealers. When you buy a game new, the developers of the game would get the money. If for example, you got fed up of it and you sold it to a friend who wanted it, the developers do not get any cash for their game. And if that friend sold it to a second-hand game shop, again the devs wouldn't get any money for it. So in a nutshell, I believe the online pass is just to discourage people from buying their games second-hand. That's why games of today are so online based; taking away online takes away most of the game's fun. | 2013-05-18 20:15:00 Author: MSTER232 Posts: 247 |
Good thing they dont do this with other products pepole would not accept a policy like this in the auto industry , its about time the whole pass thing went the way of the fishes if you know what i mean .I already buy your game and now you want more cash ...makes me angry LOL. | 2013-05-23 20:14:00 Author: Brutal Posts: 184 |
The gamming industry has gotten very dumb. Since when do creators, inventors, developers, and companys make money off of used stuff? | 2013-05-25 05:19:00 Author: XxHAMADEHxX Posts: 113 |
Honda doesnt make money when you buy a 88 civic , chevy wont make a cent if you buy a 58 bel air , games should be the same , no strings attached used stuff equals no profit . | 2013-05-27 13:39:00 Author: Brutal Posts: 184 |
Maybe if second hand Hondas that were bought new for $15000 only a few weeks ago were bought by used car salesmen for $5000 and then sold for $10000 then Honda might also want a part of that $5000 mark up. You can't compare games to cars, they're completely different things. I don't think prohibiting second hand sales is a good idea, but I also don't see why Gamestop and the likes should get such a huge slice of the cake either, they're hardly adding any value. The biggest mystery is how they get away with it. If you see used games sold at $40 and they only offer $20 for your copy, doesn't that strike you as a huge rip-off? (Full disclosure: I don't sell any of my games, nor do I buy second hand. If I think a game is too expensive, I wait a few months and it'll drop in price. Who has time for other games when they're into LBP(K) anyway. ) | 2013-05-28 00:49:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
