LBP 2-Things I noticed before launch that arent that arent in the game.

First with the announce trailer: Many of the characters look different. Da vinci is much taller, Clive looks different (he changed appearence alot during development) Theres also a cutscene that isnt in the story. Da vinci stamps something, (possibly sackboys ticket into the alliance?) Also, I noticed during the part where sackboy rides the rats, it looked alot like an animated 3D model. Was LBP 2 going to have that feature? Now info reavealed during announcement: In addition to voice recording, you could also record sounds. which would be SUPER HELPFUL. Also, You could play LBP 2 ENTIRELY With a Keyboard, not just for text chat... It would have been interesting to see in action, but it was probably removed because of the controlinator. also, in a few screenshots, the logic models look entirely different. you can even see one of the screenshots on the top right of LBPC Sometimes. E3 2010: They fully demoed the level with the controllable insect thing. but that part wasnt in the final game. weird. Gamescom 2010: in a moment in the trailer, you can see Da Vinci without glasses! would the story characters have customization too? LBP 2 Beta: Negativitron looked different. but was changed to the final one in a later update. Thats all i noticed before LBP 2's launch, maybe you learned something you didnt know 2013-04-21 04:04:00

Hm, I didn't know that you were going to be able to record sounds and play with a keyboard (that would've actually be cool)!
Thanks for the info! :3

In the first batch of magazine scans that were leaked, it was shown that a control seat could be attached to the front of a sackbot like a decoration. It basically turned the sackbot into a rideable vehicle. I'm pretty sure one of those pictures is used in the header of this site.

I can't think of any major changes. I think I heard somewhere that the ice hazard cut from LBP1 would be coming back but I don't know if that was ever planned.

I also heard that the creator pack 2 would come out soon and there was rumours it would give new hazards like chemicals and lava... but that was only a rumour and creator pack 2 never came out :/ It wouldve been cool to just attach the seat to the sackbot, but my best guess is that it was removed because of glitches (maybe it glitched causing seats to be attachable on sackboy too?) oh and is this the ice hazrd you talked about? Mm showed it in this video

That's nothing new; look at any game and you'll find that way more stuff was planned than was actually featured in the game. Game design is frequently about what you can't put in rather than what you can. It's the same when creating a level; it's never quite what you envisioned when you first came up with the idea (sometimes it's better!), and I think it's the mark of a great creator to be able to say "that bit isn't good enough, I have to delete it". It can be a very hard thing to do but it ultimately it makes a level better.2013-04-27 12:22:00
