Jak and Daxter HD Collection VITA

Archive: 20 posts

"In February 2012, Naughty Dog?s beloved Jak and Daxter franchise got a faithful HD remake on PS3 in the form of Jak and Daxter Collection, satiating series fans and introducing newcomers to the duo. This June, we?re expanding the collection to the portable audience. Jak and Daxter Collection (comprised of three of Jak and Daxter?s legendary adventures ? Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3) is coming to PS Vita for just $29.99.

The power of PS Vita means Jak and Daxter Collection will feature authentically reproduced graphics from the original games. Longtime fans will instantly feel at home, and new players will experience the world of Jak and Daxter for the first time, along with new touch-based applications of certain mini games throughout the collection.

Jak and Daxter Collection on PS Vita has full Trophy support, but fear not Trophy hunters ? the list isn?t shared with the PS3 version, so go for the Platinum!

We?ve been hard at work on this addition to the Jak and Daxter lineage, and we can?t wait to hear your hover board triumph stories as well as your trials and tribulations during your quests for more eco."

I think this sounds exciting! I think it would be great for a portable experience.
I hope more HD collections will be released sometime this year.

Well Sly just got rated for a Vita re-release http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=543579 so R&C will probably get one too.

First time I see a person that doesn't like a Naughty Dog game, especially Jak & Daxter. :o

I actually liked the Uncharted trilogy. I mean, thats the reason I even got this Jak and Daxter Collection was because I knew Naughty Dog made it, and thought it was going to be great, but it was really disappointing to me.

Can I know why it disappointed you? I'm just curious.

Sounds good, if it's a good price or arrives on PS+, I'll definitely give it a go. I rented the second game years back, was good fun.2013-04-21 19:41:00

The main reason was because I found all 3 to be repetitive and boring. Because of that I couldn't really get into the game.

did you play the other 2 games? I'm sure 1 game out 3 you don't like doesn't mean you would hate the whole thing.

Yes. They all felt like the same game, but different story and levels.

I think everything was different in each game. The story, gameplay mechanics, graphics, characters, new worlds, powers and even Jak and Daxter both of them looked different in each game. How can you say it's all the same? If I were thinking like you I'd say every Uncharted was the same too. D:

Which they weren't. They all had the same gameplay, but different level structure and story (and additional weapons).

I agree. They all do seem different. I think the 1st game was VERY different. maybe amoney doesn't see it or played through all 3 games, but we do.

Amoney has barely played beyond the start of any of the games according to what little information I could dig up.

Kinda true, but already I was kinda disappointed quickly. Maybe these games aren't the type of games for me. Idk.

so i got the collection on vita. what do I think of it? It's exactly the same as on ps2, except for one thing...Frame rates. I remember the intro of the 1st game running nice and smooth. now take that and say drop it to 15 frames or lower. I still like this game and the frame problem does happen and you will notice it will drop like crazy when you go to a new area. plays normalish sometimes. the frames drop less when you play 2 and 3. I beat the 3rd game not too long ago. not bad experience. I think they could of done better with the frames. Metal Gear Solid Collection was the only collection that didn't drop frames. I hope sly collection and R&C collection (If they ever announce it) won't have the same problem.2013-07-08 05:34:00
