Ok so i'm making my first movie with my friends and they are helping me create scenery and such then comes the time to voice record. So we get out the behavior tools and i record my part first (im the host) ,then when my friend goes to voice record he tells me he can't. Im all like "say WAAAAHHHHH". So we try again, and again, still no luck. He can't record his voice in my lobby? So we go to his moon and make a quick sackbot and i try to record my voice in HIS lobby and it wouldn't allow me to! I don't know what to do at this point, quick help would be greatly appreciated.

You can.... 1: use a magic mouth to record 2: have your friend record at their own moon, copy and bring to your moon I don't have much experience with using voice but you can try the above things.

We tried the magic mouth and it works, which is great. BUT! he can't do the motions does that mean ill have to?

That's exactly like recording in the magic mouth... Your friend will record the motions on his moon, copy and bring to your moon. Or you can simply record on your own moon, too.

Im not making a sackbot just for fun im making a movie, him going to his moon and recording motions wouldn't match up with everything if you know what i mean. It doesn't record his motions btw when we are on my moon either....

What you could do is keep using magic mouths for the voice acting but YOU could do all the movements. If you need to specifically move around in a detailed set, why does your friend have to make the movements, especially if you have a script? Even if he is playing as his own character, you could still do his movements for him.
