Crystal Crisis is a LBP platforming game project. You'll journey through unique environments, meet colorful characters, and battle epic bosses in a quest to stop the villain Praxion from destroying the world. Continuing from the unpublished Crystal Crisis 1, this game is a standalone project which you can play with or without needing the story. Created by Kato Regama, and then critiqued and bettered by the residents of Little Big Planet Central forums,

CC2 is full of interesting characters, high-stakes situations, and my own Kato-Brand of humor.

Environments include a floating training facility, computer world, swamp, desert, ocean, and otherworldly dimension.

As expected of any Kato project there are of course challenging, and colorful, boss fights. A total of 13 separate battles across 6 levels in fact.

Do you have what it takes to stop the evil Praxion and save the world? Find out in Crystal Crisis 2.

I'm getting close to finishing the boss of my latest level, Scorpion Valley. Incidentally Scorpion Valley was going to be a 3-part level, with the main level part, then an underground mine, then the boss. As it stands, the first part of the level is.... well, a little too short, but basing my observations on Hero Academy, adding a mid-level may make it too long.

The question is do I forsake a mid-level, and try to squeeze a little platforming in the boss section, or do I continue with my original plan?

The reason I'm asking is that the whole of Crystal Crisis 2 is currently planned to have 15 level all-together. But this is exempting a Hub-Level that could have a little intro story, and links to not only the main levels, but their bosses as well, so if you don't want to tromp through all of VR Virus to fight the really awesome Razz the Firefly at the end (and kill all of your friends by shooting him with yellow when his butt is not yellow : D ), then the option would be available.

That does however bring up the question of necessity. I'm not certain hub-levels are needed, and frankly... aside from having your dude walk around to different Level Links, I'm clueless about how to use controlinators for it.

So what does the community think? Underground Mine or Level Hub?

All right. I might have done that but I didn't want to double post. On the forums I run it is somewhat discouraged. XD Thanks.2013-04-26 17:16:00

You're correct. Double posting is frowned on, however if you meet what the rules state we usually won't consider that a double post.

Rule #5-.....You may make two consecutive posts in the same thread only if you have new, substantial information to add, which you feel is necessary for others to see, and a reasonable amount of time has passed since making the previous post. Otherwise, please edit your previous post.

I believe your most recent post meets that.

Crystal Crisis 2's HUB has now been updated with a sweet logo, spot for the Intro Cutscene (which I am working on as quick as I can), and a MUCH IMPROVED teleportation system that's faster, doesn't kill you, and allows return trips. from every world entrance. Teleporter also lets you return to the title in case you waddled around the hub first and now want to see the intro after.

The whole of CC2 is now complete. I'm working towards getting CC1 published using a friend's account. Remakes are pending for all of CC1, as well as Hero Academy, VR Virus, and Miserable Mire from CC2. CC2 may also get an EXTRA LEVEL published to bridge Deep Ocean and Lost Paradise. A piratey themed level presently untitled, with a skeleton ghost boss, and an earlier appearance by Dark.

Please enjoy CC2, and as always, I welcome critiques so I may improve in the future. Thanks for all of your support!
