hud on sackperson?
Archive: 6 posts
i was wondeing if you could put hud like a wave meter on a SACKPERSON? if so then how? i have a lbpv kino-der-toten zombie survival level and i wanted to add a wave indicator in the lower left corner of the screen. | 2013-04-11 11:20:00 Author: IeatFrogs Posts: 36 |
I would create a hologram or sticker panel rectangle that maps the entire game view, that will then follow the player. Then glue the HUD elements onto the sticker panel where you would like to place them. | 2013-04-11 17:21:00 Author: OriginalCreator Posts: 217 |
Here is how to do it for the sackbot here create a hologram or stickerpanel like OrginialCreator said then atleast make it a reasonable size then glue it to the sackbot, Before doing this edit it, Add a timer on the hologram and a microhip then add a tag on the micropchip make the tag red then make the timer go backwards once every minute how do you do this create a player senser and place it and make the wave signal thing high and set it to like the timer depletes everytime the player goes through it, And there. If you want a very detailed explaination then a me I might make a thread about it | 2013-04-11 20:36:00 Author: Unknown User |
not a sackBOT, a sackPERSON. can you explain to me just a little more of how to do what you said original creator? im kinda new to this stuff, i wanted to put a red line in the lower left corner for each wave. each wave would add one line. | 2013-04-12 00:44:00 Author: IeatFrogs Posts: 36 |
Okay I'll try explain this the best I can create a block of thin hologram and place a microchip on the hologram. Open the microchip and place a follower and a game Camara. Set the game Camara to zero tracking this is so the viewport will be the same size and therefor UI will appear realistic. Then tweak the follower so it follows the player and have everything set to max so that it followers almost instantly. Then un-hover ideally create a floating platform like i did bellow. You should then see the hologram follow the player immediately. Now map the hologram material to the viewport of the player. By selecting the corner editing tool and dragging the corners edge of the screen I would recommend using the grid to make it more accurate. Now make the holograms opacity to 0 so it is invisible to the player and then glue the UI elements into place in my example bellow I just used a piece of sticker panel with a one stickers to it, this is where you could put your round counting logic. http://id.api.vita.lbp.me/img/ft/aed7fa3f3cb47fef4b18357bb1ab90c679a66f53.jpg Now if you land and walk around you should get something like these two pictures, I hope this explains it better for you, if you still can't get it to work just reply and ill make my example copy able on my earth for you to check out and see how it works http://i8.api.vita.lbp.me/img/ft/6f874570a8753db9cf7db30c64a5ae592f78b60f.jpg http://ic.api.vita.lbp.me/img/ft/adcc253853783e62b5e95b628d6f800c5b7e79f9.jpg | 2013-04-12 20:39:00 Author: OriginalCreator Posts: 217 |
