How is this getting no feedback at all? http://id.lbp.me/img/ft/1fdebc38c858b40ad61eb214c5a2c533d7f065ba.jpg http://i6.lbp.me/img/ft/816e6b2bfa4eed12a11bb46f3693454e83f7e658.jpg Just putting these pictures here for those who just roll down the topic without bothering to open them. Well, on with the review! I just played this level today and if you saw my short review on the level itself, you already know that I think this is one of the weirdest levels I have ever played. It's almost as weird as that one movie, Cabin in the Woods, I think its name was. However, unlike that movie, this level knows what it tries to be: platforming. And while people's opinions may differ, I tell you that in my opinion, this level was great. The best thing is how everything works so well TOGETHER in this level. I mean, if you remove the music and sound effects here and listen to them apart from the level, they only sound weird, if you separate the visuals from the gameplay and sounds, it looks like a mess, if you take the gameplay away from the visuals and audio, it feels firm and energetic, yet confusing and just unpleasant. However, when all of these are combined they actually turn into one, pretty enjoyable experience. Visuals are, as anyone can tell from the pictures, trashy, toy-boxy and weird. However, it works in the grand scheme of things, and I really like how it took you from sky-hights into dark mines. The variety is refreshing, yet every part here looks unfinished. I wish this level was just a little longer, so it could have really taken the full potential of its different themes. However, it doesn't look bad, just a bit unfinished. Also, there really wasn't anything to watch in awe. There was no moment what I felt was the pinnacle of the level. Audio was a bit better than visuals as a whole. The way you edited the interactive music tracks made them feel unique and thanks to the toy-boxy feeling of the level overall, it fits. The sound effects were there and while they added to the level, they didn't feel special anyhow. So nothing memorable there. However, the masterful handling of the interactive music really added much into this level. Overall, the audio-style was very good. Gameplay it surprisingly enough the best thing here. It works from whatever perspective you look at it, even though it is simple platforming. One thing that surprised me here is that it was quite challenging. I wasn't expecting that when I went into there, considering that the Mistery Forest was quite easy. The secret bubbles were there and while they were all easy to get, they were fun little specials. Also, the mine-part was greatly handled in terms of gameplay. However, there was nothing really special or unique here. (By the way, if I was to make top 10 level endings, this one's would be up on that list. It was awesome!) In conclusion, this level would get a lower score from me, if every aspect of it didn't work as fine as it did with the rest of the level. It is definitely a level everyone should play, at least to see what I'm talking about when I say that the level is very good, if for nothing else. This could also be a tutorial named: "How to make the different aspects of the level work well together." Gameplay: 8/10 Audio: 7/10 Visuals: 6/10 Conclusion: 7/10 Very good! If you feel like I was somehow unfair here, then feel free to oppose. Also, this is just how I feel after playing the level and certainly there are people out there who disagree with me. To all people who are not me or the level creator, if you haven't already, then GO PLAY THIS LEVEL! -FreeAim | 2013-04-11 11:45:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
Loving the schizophrenic level design. Got it queued and will check it out and be back with your review in 20 minutes . If you'd be a doll and play my Zombie Caverns Level in my signature <3. | 2013-04-11 18:19:00 Author: RakasaPlus Posts: 136 |

I'm glad of the positives sections the level gave, and you gave me a great idea, that is to redo the whole dividend in larger sections and long, (perhaps by combining with various levels of the sublevels) keeping the same gameplay fun e light. very soon, when I will complete my project in place (Heartache). I will dedicate a remake of wish .. Thanks a lot!!!.. | 2013-04-14 01:31:00 Author: Rickyyea Posts: 19 |
I don't think you should remake the entire level, unless you feel like that is necessary yourself. It is a good, solid level you have here. Maybe just make another level, like Wish 2 or something? | 2013-04-14 10:50:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
I played it today. Your level is very beautiful and detailed. It was not too hard and not too easy, just perfect. Very good, entertaining level! | 2013-04-14 12:50:00 Author: vegetaalex66 Posts: 108 |

This level certainly employed a certain hodgepodge of elements that leads to an interesting style, both visually and in terms of gameplay. Like Mistery Forest, the individual gameplay parts were not particularly difficult, but they were interesting and melded together into a fun play experience. I guess my only suggestion if you plan on remaking it is to go a bit farther. Some parts could be more detailed, some gameplay could be more innovative and possibly challenging, at least to a degree. Although this is a great level in and of itself and is desrving of the spotlight nod. Congratulations on that by the way. | 2013-04-17 04:05:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |
