After LieutenantFatman's thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=78848) I was prompted to search about one of my favourite games again, Frontier: Elite II, written by David Braben of Raspberry Pi fame. It's a space trading game from a series that some here may have already sunk hundreds of hours into. For well over a decade there have been calls for another Elite game. "Elite 4" has been listed on sites like Amazon for years following rumours that it may have been in development. Well, after a Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1461411552/elite-dangerous) late last year I completely missed, another Elite game is in development! I played Space Rogue back on the Atari ST. Couldn't get enough of it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Rogue Good to see they're finally bringing back Elite, crazy that it's taken so long! Hope it's worth the wait, and that it inspires more games of this type.

holy crap! this game looks amazing, kinda looks like X3, this whole space trading games thing is a kinda limited genre that i wish was more noticed :/ (but seems to be getting popular lately with titles such as FTL) After reading a little about the game it looks like the starting ships are stock models and they are not customizable, which would have been a good thing but whatever, still the game looks pretty promising, hope its also released on steam!

Since last posting the alpha has gone through two phases, the multiplayer phase and now the docking phase. The most recent change is the ability to dock and outfit your ship or buy a new one. Looking at other videos, while the docking looks cool (I imagine you can just buy a docking computer if it gets boring), I don't like menu when outfitting your ship in the hanger which is just a long list.
