A Clockwork Orange recreated in LBP2

Archive: 10 posts

You read that right. One of the most controversial films of all time, recreated entirely in LittleBiGPlanet. Obviously, it would mute out all that naughty stuff to fit within the LittleBigVerse (and not get taken off immediately) and would require a dedicated team to properly materialize.

NEED
Composers to recreate the soundtrack for LittleBIGPlanet (The Opening, Singing in the Rain, Beethoven, etc.)
Voice Actors
Costume Designers

Why am I doing this? Because it certainly sounds like a challenge creatively for sure, and to bring Stanley Kubrick's classic to a new generation without messing up their psyche. Sounds fair right? I sure hope it does! What do you think, my brothers?

The rape, ultra violence, and hallucinogenics are crucial to the plot so I'm curious what you would do in lieu of them in trying to make it family friendly. Without those I'm not sure you would successfully mess with the psyche of a generation, but it could be interesting. Definitely mess around with Nadsat though, although the novel would be a better source than the movie in that regard.

Here's a decent list: http://soomka.com/nadsat.html

I agree with bonner.
It's a nice idea, but the intention of this movie can just be shown with its typically brutality in my opinion.
And you can't show that stuff on LBP. Please think of the younger players.
I think it's really hard to show the moral of this movie without showing the nasty stuff.

I'm absolutely curious how you will create this.

You definitely will get my play

If this level really will be family friendly, I offer you my help as voice actor if you want me to do that

I was thinking of substituting rape and ultra-violence for greifing and ultra-slapping respectively, to adapt the plot to focus on a very unneighborly sackboy who revels in the grim misfortune of others and their creations. Basically, the LBP equivalent of the lowest of the low.

I was thinking more along the lines of slapping victims silly with a fish, but someone already posted something MUCH more devious, so I'll just shoosh my food-duct. :U

Also, I'm interested in voice acting, but what would I have to do to try out/send voice clips?

Hrrmm, I saw A Clockwork Orange many moons ago and have to say I wasn't very impressed with it. I look forward to seeing your interpretation of it though.2013-03-25 16:02:00
