Monsters are to light!

Archive: 8 posts

Kso, I've been working on something.. not gonna say what.. but it involves shooting monsters with paint... I have little experience making monsters

When you hit them enough times I want them to disappear, so originally I made them completely out of dissolve... but it's to light.. they kept moving back when you shot them...

so I want to know how do I get the monsters to disappear completely if they're made out of stone or metal? or how can I keep the dissolve monsters from moving back?

(no rockets)

There's always the option of using wood, interlaced with explosives attached to the paint switch. Adds a nice over-the-top flavor for kills, too.

Of course, using brains is always an option, because destroying a brain dissolves the stuff attached to it. But brains also eat up space pretty quick. That's how they did it in the MGS levels, anyway.

Aside from that, I really dunno.

I want to avoid explosions cause I dont want the one monster blowing up to cause the others to blow up or push the others back. ):2009-01-23 04:14:00

You paint switch could trigger a switch to make your creature's brain blow up. This way it can be made of any materials.2009-01-23 06:11:00

Connect the paint switch to a brain, and attach the brain to the monster. Easy as that.2009-01-23 07:04:00

Wood cannot be destroyed by explosives. But you could make an invulnerable brain hidden inside a monster, put a paint switch on top and then connect it to the brain.

You can also have exposed vulnerable brains which just get shot with the paint gun. There are many ways and variations on these basic themes.

Not to mention, if you're using wheels, put the material you're using for the tyres as "rubber". That should stop the knockback when they're hit.2009-01-23 11:42:00
