I need loads of ideas on short platformers to create for an extremely large level that uses a world map, area maps, and an ultra-scale emitter system. Basically every level will be emitted.

Maximum size for stages is 2/3 entire level space.

how about each short level focussed on a different powerup? : ) So you could have 6/7 short levels in total themed around each powerup? That could be fun!2013-03-20 23:28:00

Hey thanks for the fantastic idea.

Now, a question for the hardcore creators. AKA Mm picked ones, other users with sophisticated level-creating ability, and those with 3D background experience. QUESTION(s): I'm creating loads of different backgrounds (as realistic as possible) for each stage and each area map. What is the minimum and maximum number of background layers should I use to optimize between visuals, thermo-space, and eliminating lag? Also, how detailed should the background be to be truly optimized(optimized like previously stated)?
