Spacemen VS Sack Drones Ultimate Capture The Flag! (Sintari's Masterpiece)

Archive: 12 posts

Climb aboard the Sintari and fight alongside LBP's greatest warriors as they battle with courage for glory, prowess and victory... IN SPACE!

After 6 months of work my baby is finally finished. This is my greatest creation, my masterpiece. I would be so honored if some of you would take some time out of your day to enjoy my level! Its 2-4 players so make sure to bring some friends to share the fun with!

I first had the idea for a professionally done Capture the flag level over a year ago. Ive done my research and found out what works and what dosen't. It was a painful process at times, but I forced myself to push through knowing that someday people would appreciate all my hard work! You would not believe how many late nights I had to endure! I Don't regret a single minute of it though! In the end it was all worth it. Hours of blood, sweat, and tears went into making this so when you click on that link make sure to have a great time for me!

Nothing would warm my heart more.

Thank you for clicking on this post. Thank you for reading. (If you made it this far lol!)
And thank you to all who believed in me! *sheds a manly tear.*

This looks really interesting and it is clear a lot of effort has gone into it, I will be sure to play it shortly, and give you some feedback.

In the meantime; you seem fairly new here and it is difficult to grab attention sometimes, but take a look at the F4F (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=7962-Feedback-For-Feedback) system, it may help with others getting to play your level, and is great to take a break after all that create time.

As an example Ungreth made his thread about Lamb & Wolf a F4F, and considering you have already played it and hearted it, you should wander over and leave some notes on it, there is also a few other F4F's kicking around, be sure to give them a play to.

Hello L-I-M-I here,

I recently played your level with a good friend and here are the results of my adventure on the Sintari .

The Good:
-I love the design and flat layout with the various scenes underneath. This layout was cut and dry and was not confusing at all, kudos to you.
-Music was great, that first track I couldn't get enough of
-Flag Tracker

The Bad:
-Some of the detail work, will actually cause major lag during multiplayer. i.e. the excessively moving fast spinning things. Do not get me wrong here. I wish for these to stay, because they were a wonderful visual enhancenment to the Sintari.
-Score needs to drop to 0/3 or 0/5 instead of 0/20, the lower number will increase replayability while 0/20 is a freakishly long battle. This may cause for longer play times but will deter alot from finishing

The Ugly:
-Sackbot diificulty is much much easier on the left side, in actuallity I had no enemies even touch/shoot at me while going left, but on the otherhand the right was as if I was scrambling from the Chicago Bears Defensive Line. This made for a very unbalanced gameplay advantage.

The On-the fence (minor suggestions):
-Camera shaking, I personally enjoyed it and felt the ship was more alive. My friend though didn't like it. My only advice here would be to get feedback from multiple sources that will be completly honest with you. Also, for testing reasons and lag, ask 2/3 people to play it while the camera shake is off and see if lag decreases. Another option is to have camera shaking optional..
-Having the flags in the middle, every time, maybe have it where each player/team start on optional sides and the each opposing team would have to retrieve the opposite teams flag on their base and bring it all the way back to your base. When the flag is dropped it can stay where it is dropped or after x amount of time, it auto returns back to the owners base. To go along with this effect, maybe implement a round system. Whoever brings the opposing teams flag to their base first wins the round and then everything starts over and a new round begins. Say first to 3 wins.

Thanks for creating this level and I look forward to keeping a keen eye on this level. The potential seems very exciting.

Hi L-I-M-I, Thank you for for playing! Tell your friend I said thanks too!

The Good:
I was going for the simple layout but I was still afraid that it might be difficult to understand. (I added some extra in game hints earlier today just in case.) I'm relived to hear you say that everything was ok.

I spent hours trying to find the right songs so I'm glad you liked them! The first one was my favorite too If you want the details on the names of the creators check the description!

Questions:
What did you think about the tutorial?
Did you find any of the easter eggs? (Tell me what you think if you did, but just be careful about spoilers )

The Bad:
I hear you on the lag. I'll try to see what I can do behind the scenes. Actually I don't think the electrical generators cause much of it, because they're not very complex when it comes to logic. (but I could be completely wrong so I'll definitely take a second look.) I'll also see what I can do about the score

The Ugly: I was very surprised to hear you say that. I'm honestly not sure what happened when you played. The Spacemen and Sack Drone A.I. are identical. I believe you though and I will double check and make sure everything is wired correctly

The On-the fence:
I like the camera shake too. I think it would be strange if a ship traveling through space didn't move or tremble at all lol, but I'd be willing to adjust them if it helps with the lag. What exactly did your friend dislike about the camera shake? Was it the camera shake from the monster in the Wild Life Preserve or the camera shake near the windows and hallways?

I really like your Ideas for an alternate flag system and I'd actually be willing to use them. but sadly it might need to wait until my next capture the flag level if I decide to make one. The thermo on this level is about to blow itself up HAHAHA. In a perfect world I would just make a setting that would allow you switch between systems.

Thank you so much for your feedback and kind words and thanks again to you and you friend for playing. I hope you both had a great time!

Im surprised nobody found any of the easter eggs yet

I've Updated a some things over the last few days. I believe these changes will help with the lag and AI issues that some of you talked about. I'm also trying to make the experience smoother by adding more in game hints so stay tuned.

Any extra suggestions and feedback are greatly appreciated
