Game invites
Archive: 11 posts
When you see someone online, and you want to play with them, how many times will you send a request before not sending them anymore requests, like if they have just left the game on, or are busy, or just don't want to play with you? i have people on my buddy list who just constantly spam me invites, and I don't know how to make them stop, because i'm in create mode working on a level, and i know if they come in they will steal my stuff or mess things up. | 2013-03-15 18:49:00 Author: Beccadex Posts: 36 |
If you're in Create Mode, try just signing out of PSN, turning on Auto Reject (from the start > options menu in Create Mode), or disconnecting from the Internet, that way you won't get invites :Y. But to answer your question, I only invite them about two or three times max if they don't respond, and not repeatedly, just every couple minutes. Either they're not there or they don't want to play, so I just leave them alone. Maybe if your friend is stealing your things or screwing up your level, you shouldn't invite them anymore? That doesn't sound like a very good friend. :S Don't want to get into anything personal, but that's what I would do. | 2013-03-15 19:03:00 Author: Sackpapoi Posts: 1195 |
I usually send a psn message first. I hate to simply invite or join someone without hearing from them first. They could be busy or in the middle of something important while creating. If playing, they might be in the middle of setting a high score in a 1 player challenge of sorts. Those that spam invite me on my buddy list, I think hard if they need to be on my list. Those I like, I ask them to please do what I suggested above as I feel it a bit rude to just invite someone away from what they are doing.. and they might not even be there and be AFK. I usually have my settings set to Auto Reject for everyone and Ask if they are on my list. | 2013-03-15 19:22:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
I usually check to see what the person is doing before I try to join or send an invite. If I see the person is on their moon then I figure they are working on a creation so I won't bother them. Also if a person is in Story Mode alone - I figure they are trying to Ace a level. The best solution is Auto-Reject while you are in Create Mode. That way if someone that you DO want to invite gets online you can still send them an invite while others can't spam you. Cheers | 2013-03-18 15:03:00 Author: cradle2grave Posts: 148 |
This may be helpful for me aswell and anybody else with annoying friends. I hate to upset my friends when I press "Refuse to join" button but it's a must do. I'm thinking of removing some of my annoying friends but then they would get upset at me for doing so. | 2013-03-19 21:02:00 Author: Sacko53 Posts: 134 |
I did experience the same problem... People keep spamming the join button to get in, but when i'm working on a level, i only have a few people that i trust getting in Everything is set to auto-reject while i'm working, if people want to have a look, they can send me a psn message, and i can invite them. When things are getting very complicated, i sign out of psn, make some coffee and take all the time of the world without the risk friends will get upset because its on auto-reject Altough, when a level is progressing, i invite friends to play parts to test it. You can't test without friends Regards, Jeroen | 2013-03-19 21:27:00 Author: Mokum_GTT Posts: 34 |
Maybe 2 or 3 times. But it depends on which friend. | 2013-03-20 06:47:00 Author: dolphins-r-lame Posts: 281 |
Usually a couple of times, although I usually try to join others instead. The few situations when I try to invite somebody is that I want to show him or her something I like I don't usually put on auto-reject, but sometimes it happens due to whatever reason or another... it is a bit rare nowadays. | 2013-03-20 16:35:00 Author: OrwellianStuff Posts: 90 |
I wish there was a way to turn off the 'invite' option for people who are not your friend :/ | 2013-03-23 15:03:00 Author: Flyingpotaotoman Posts: 41 |
I wish there was a way to turn off the 'invite' option for people who are not your friend :/ You can turn off receiving messages from strangers from the account manager, sure you can't receive messages from people not on your friends list but whatever. | 2013-03-24 04:21:00 Author: PPp_Killer Posts: 449 |
You can turn off receiving messages from strangers from the account manager, sure you can't receive messages from people not on your friends list but whatever. Well, that is the problem. I talk to many people on a daily occasion who aren't on my friends list. If I did this, it would essentially block off communication with them. Also, I get nice little messages which cheer me up and make me feel all warm and fuzzy, I would never want to block those out. | 2013-03-24 08:48:00 Author: Flyingpotaotoman Posts: 41 |
