SimCity

So, despite a rather rough start, the game is working (Still minus a few features) and it's lots o' fun!
The main point of this thread is for forum members to add each other on origin and create regions with each other. Playing alone is rather dull.

The game was looking so awesome, but requiring to be always online blew it for me. I buy these kinds of games so I can play offline, that kinda goes against this concept.

Were this game with an online option, I would have loved creating a LBPC region and building a city alongside other, when I could/wanted to play online.

I might pick it up if:
1. They lift the online requirement;
2. They fix the terrible bugs such as Clay's firemen not being able to reach a burning building (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWg6X3UG2_8);
3. The price comes down.

Then, the offer of a free game: "And to get us back in your good graces, we're going to offer you a free PC download game from the EA portfolio. On March 18, SimCity players who have activated their game will receive an email telling them how to redeem their free game.
"I know that's a little contrived - kind of like buying a present for a friend after you did something crummy. But we feel bad about what happened. We're hoping you won't stay mad and that we'll be friends again when SimCity is running at 100 per cent.

Looks like EA added "ruining old classic franchises" to their portfolio. It'll match their "corrupting legendary developers" achievement perfectly.

Just buy Sim City 4. It has none of this forced online BS, the cities aren't tiny and it's also pretty cheap.

That happened before this mess.

Any bets this is a test run for Sims 4?

Wait, didn't they already make an Online Sims? Eh, that was 10 years ago.

Not that I particularly care for either series. /shrug

looks kind of like how the later stages of spore should have been. I might pick it up after a price drop, bug fix patch and a few dlcs release...2013-03-13 20:36:00
