New option on magnetic switch!

Archive: 10 posts

I was watching the video on the Media Molecule site when I noticed something... as one of them places a magnetic switch there is another option entitled "Trigger Angle Range". The name implies what it does, obviously.

Watch the video and you'll see the new option at about 1:58 (ish).

EDIT:

I found something else, too! At 4:58, they load a community level and a black bar pops up at the top (much like when someone publishes a level, etc.) telling them what music is playing! Check it out, it happens about 5 times!

Alex.

P.S. I don't think this has been posted yet. It wasn't on the front page.

It probably allows you to use a "cone" type of shape for the radius instead of a wide circle with the switch in the middle.2009-01-23 01:11:00

I hope this is true. There have been many occassions where I found the circle radius to be too big and wished there was a way to to be more precise, this could be it. Thanks for the info

I noticed the song thing, but I didn't notice the magnetic key switch option thing.

Looks to me like it's only giving us the option to use portions of the circle (so, setting it to 180 would make it only work in a half circle radius). Unless that's the number of angles that make up the shape or something (if that makes any sense). It's kinda hard to tell what it is at this point.

Yep, that would simply adjust the total degrees of a single angle. You rotate the switch itself to change what angle it is. Kinda like wobble bolts, if I'm not mistaken. Which I very well could be.2009-01-23 04:23:00

Wow, this could be very useful if it's applied to Sensor switches as well :o2009-01-23 11:25:00

Well spotted! No doubt this will be incorporated in one of the upcoming patches. Nice....

EDIT: I have just posted a new thread with a news feature on this and more options and tools that were displayed in this video.

I think they should add something that asks how many magnetic keys need to be in the circle2009-01-29 15:06:00

Well the searchlight already uses that degrees thing to a certain extent so I'm not surprised.2009-01-29 21:08:00
