Someone invented Medi-Gel!
Archive: 10 posts
Remember, in Mass Effect, the magic cure-all gel that could clean all wounds? Well, now it's real, thanks to some student at NYU. Only called "Veti-Gel" because, hey, can't make it too obvious. This is a very amusing reference to a videogame. Also, it is an extraordinary breakthrough that could possibly save millions of lives. But hey, priorities. http://kotaku.com/5989585/wow-someone-invented-mass-effect+like-medi+gel http://www.mnn.com/green-tech/research-innovations/stories/college-student-invents-gel-that-halts-bleeding | 2013-03-09 02:09:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Science is awesome, isn't it? Now, using medicine mid-gunfight might become as reliable in real life as in videogames! | 2013-03-09 14:39:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
The saddest part of this is that it will probably be sold to a huge pharmaceutical company, and it will be horribly expensive. I hope that doesn't happen, because this looks incredibly useful for everything. | 2013-03-09 15:16:00 Author: Patofan Posts: 1185 |

Well, they're at least going to try and make it with their own smaller company (he set up a company with a business student), so hopefully they're able to maintain control :/ Unfortunately, nowadays it seems that every new idea needs to be controlled by a mass conglomerate... :/ | 2013-03-09 15:25:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
If they don't make one with Scooby-Doo or Dora on it I'm sticking to Bandaids. No pun intended. | 2013-03-10 18:47:00 Author: Sackpapoi Posts: 1195 |
If they don't make one with Scooby-Doo or Dora on it I'm sticking to Bandaids. No pun intended. Even if you have a five inch gash in your stomach? Flawless logic. | 2013-03-10 19:03:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

Apply the gel, then put the band-aid over the wound. Seriously, you guys never got hurt when you were kids? | 2013-03-10 22:58:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
I hope this isn't the miracle cure that starts the zombie apocalypse. | 2013-03-12 05:19:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
Now all we need is Repulsion Gel and Propulsion Gel. Sorry. I've been playing too much Portal 2... | 2013-03-12 20:27:00 Author: Protoraptor Posts: 960 |
Apply the gel, then put the band-aid over the wound. Seriously, you guys never got hurt when you were kids? Yes, but I never put band-aids over wounds. Sorry. I've been playing too much Portal 2... Really? Didn't notice it until you told me. :o | 2013-03-12 22:14:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
