Ok, apologies this took me so long to reply. I have just played your level and on first playthrough the lil thing holding me broke and flew through the level and i ended up in the desert lol. Second playthrough i got stuck at the part where the whole level broke last time but by jumping around i got myself free.

Pros
-Styling is very true to the original abe's oddysee
-Very clever implementation of possessing enemies
-Loved the intro!
-Really enjoyed the bit when you talk to another of the frendlies, was funny watching solid snake talking to him lol

Cons
-mines on the floor should be on emitters as I can blow every one up then just walk across and there are no mines
-afforementioned points where the conveyor gets stuck at the first "sackdukan hearts" bit and occaisionally breaks - try making wheel that drives it out of a grippier substance (rubber?)
-when some enemies blew up there was a nasty piece of them left and it was kinda annoying having to dodge them
-If you die when the dogs start chasing you at the start of the level its game over and you need to restart (try puting in a checkpoint that moves to infront of the dogs as soon as you hit it to avoid this problem.)
-on the bit after the dogs i let go of the ledge as it was taking me up and i appeared in a tiny gap which i couldnt escape from just to the right of the ledge (fill this in)
- when i first possessed the monster i pushed him so fast i got him stuck on the safe zone sign where and couldnt move him after i flipped him over.

Overall though I did enjoy the level (most of the bugs i mention came when i played through again), I would be more than happy to play again once updated and provide more feedback, just PM me when its been republished.

For F4F please play my Bad Weather level (in the sig)

That was so cool. I am such a big fan of the first two Oddworld games, and you really nailed so much of what made it great. There are some aspects to the leve that are simplistic or mundane, but your character designs are awesome, the Mudokan rescue system you set up, the possession system you made is perfect for trying to simulate the gameplay the only way it could be done... you really got down with the eyetoy here and it added alot to it, to bring back memories and capture the right atmosphere. This is probably the best and most extravagant intro I've seen in a level too, all the way through to when the guard is shooting the mudokans - that was great.

You have so many homages to the Oddworld games I don't even know where to begin - the dog chases and grinding them down, the guards beating the mudokans, saving the mudokans by bringing them to the wheel, grabbing ledges and hoisting up, the land minds, having guards run into them and off ledges, the thing you ride getting distracted by the beehive, the respective temples for both species, going back into a door and coming forward from a door in a lower area, the little jumper shoots you drop into etc etc

I just won the Glukkon you designed and I am definitely keeping it.

Your other levels are definitely better, but I love Oddworld so I enjoyed this as an exercise in nostalgia. I am going to play SotC, but I have already played all your other levels - your silent hill 2 level was spotlighted remember?2009-02-19 22:07:00

Holy cow, what are you talking about Talmasca? this level has some great ideas, and was overall a fun level. the boss could use some work, but if this only took you 2 days, then you have a lot of potential. i honestly liked this level more than your silent hill levels, just for pure fun-ness.

I thought that the sackdukans looks good, and the enemies were all pretty well made. if you took a little time to polish this level up, it could be quite good! 4/5 stars from me.

you've made a couple levels based on other games now... i'd like to see what you can come up with on your own!
