say theres a particular creator youre not a fan of whos levels you keep seeing. these levels may hold interest to some users but not you. why not have LBP give you the option to block a player's levels by blocking the player using an in-game blocking system created specifically for LBP. if you decide to visit another sackling though, since they are host, your option of having levels blocked may kick you to your pod. Of course this may be changed determining if sackling is your friend. | 2013-03-04 05:53:00 Author: dollfaec Posts: 8 |
This have been a discussion in some time now. Maybe you should try posting on GetSatisFaction (https://getsatisfaction.com/littlebigplanet) -- Jauw | 2013-03-04 23:37:00 Author: Jauw Posts: 484 |

Support has ended for the site and I don't think you will be getting a response from any MM workers on it soon. Just try and leave a message on StevenI's LBPC profile. | 2013-03-05 05:48:00 Author: Sacko53 Posts: 134 |

I would love this option! | 2013-03-05 16:12:00 Author: dolphins-r-lame Posts: 281 |
just being able to block users in general would be nice, i had some girl harass me for about 2 weeks over not sourcing a sticker maker, when in fact i had sourced the actual artist of the piece the sticker was stolen from. i would have loved to have blocked her so i wouldnt have had to delete her comments off of my profile, and all of my levels almost every day. i dont understand why there isnt a block option | 2013-03-07 17:40:00 Author: Beccadex Posts: 36 |
At some point there might be a block option, but it just isn't a simple fix. Not only does it involve quite a bit of development and testing, but before any update gets rolled out it must pass certification. (which even then might break a few things we love!) None of which doesn't cost quite a bit of money that probably was never budgeted for that purpose. The best way to get rid of trolls that harass you on your profile or level is simply ignore them. I don't even bother removing their comments as it just shows that you are there. I feel most episodes like this you are up against an 8 - 10 year old with bad manners and that any interaction with them will go badly. Even worse if they have lots of friends with keyboards. So yeah.. a blocking feature might help, but then again besides their friends, they can make alternate accounts and cause quite a bit of effort even with a blocking tool. Most times if you take the high road and simply ignore them, they go away. ...and for now, at least you can turn off comments which may not be desirable which is why most of us here just ignore them. I actually get a good chuckle out of any nasty ones. ...especially the ones with bad grammar and spelling mistakes. | 2013-03-07 19:30:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
naah looks like MM is already abandoned LBP | 2013-03-08 03:20:00 Author: SCHWITZER-1945 Posts: 93 |
naah looks like MM is already abandoned LBP True, they are on to other things. I think the latest patches have been done by Sony developers and the DLC by other studios. Regardless, LBP3 might contain some sort of blocking feature. ..but again, my advice is not to worry about nasty folks with keyboards in the first place. They exist everywhere on the internet and will drive you nuts if you let them. | 2013-03-08 12:13:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
They have a new "official site" now. http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/LittleBigPlanet-Pod/bd-p/22339 Thanks for the re-direct! Ive posted this elsewhere but ill run through it again: I have my doubts that we will be seeing advanced privacy in LBP2. The teams responsible need to weigh the pros and cons and at this point it may not be feasible to rework the GM in order to include these features. However the cries for advanced privacy settings are not falling onto deaf ears. If the rumors of LBP3 being in development for a year already are true than i firmly believe that these settings will be implemented into that software. EDIT: just being able to block users in general would be nice, i had some girl harass me for about 2 weeks over not sourcing a sticker maker, when in fact i had sourced the actual artist of the piece the sticker was stolen from. i would have loved to have blocked her so i wouldnt have had to delete her comments off of my profile, and all of my levels almost every day. i dont understand why there isnt a block option Ugh as much as i hate to admit it this is a common scenario. Users that craft sticker levels are constantly under fire for similar reasons. Its easy to sympathize with both parties involved but it usually escalates into something ridiculous. Dont let it bother you. | 2013-03-08 16:30:00 Author: Wolfdre Posts: 218 |
