Welcome to MGS-L1, Music Gallery Systems, by RickRock_777. These are my personal original songs, several of which I composed for a new Series I'm creating. They are delivered in a futuristic setting, with a focus on game play to keep things interesting. I hope you enjoy my sounds and style, and let me know if you have a favorite. If you collect any songs, all I ask is you mention me in your credits. And thanks to my good friend CuriousSack, who encouraged me to publish this Gallery.

Thank you very much for playing, and I hope you find a song you enjoy.
You can queue the level here or above ?? http://lbp.me/v/j7h3xf

Here are some images from the level.

I had the privilege of seeing this last night and have to say, really good music. The music player itself is really cool and I love those "heckle" and "cheer" buttons. Made me smile. I think it's really cool and not to mention, generous, that you give them away too. I like the design of the level as well. Very neat sci-fy-e futuristic facility. A full blown recommendation from me.

@ Justin...glad you like the pics. I hope you enjoy the music more.

@ Bio...thank you for your wonderful comments. Coming from you, I feel like I have arrived...musically that is. I'm sincerely glad you enjoyed the music. Still working on instrument combinations that mimic a banjo, though. But once I find it, watch out...it'll be dueling LBP style.

This is an excellent level!
Rick, you are a fantastic composer.
In your music I can feel so much of your passion for composing and the tracks are very atmospheric and really professional.

Your level offers also some nice gameplay at the beginning and really great visuals, but the main thing is the beautiful music.

Excellent

Thank you for the great comments, Sabre. The music sequencer is a challenge in itself...trying to convey music from my soul to the listener's ears. I'm very glad you liked it. 2013-02-25 04:57:00

@ Tevlon...thank you so much for your inspiring comments. It is an honor to have a fellow composer speak of my music this way. Your comments on PSN are also greatly appreciated and to know that you stayed in my gallery listening to every song made my eyes water (but only briefly as I am a man . I believe you understand, and are familiar with, that place where music lives and breathes deep within the soul.

I am very curious which song/songs touched you the most. For it's purity, I like "Desert Rain" the most. I wrote it for Jurgen (CuriousSack) as a special gift for his friendship and for supporting me with continuous encouragement.

@ Jurgen...I have always been a fan of your music also. And your friendship during the creation of my songs has been priceless. Thank you sincerely for all you have done.

To be honest I liked every song in it's own way. Every song has it's own feeling to it that gives it's uniqueness and tells a different story. If I have to choose one I'd go for 'Desert Rain'. I especially liked the melody of it.

And yes, I do understand what you mean about music. It's something special

I normally don't stick around music levels for the entire setlist, maybe just a sample of them all and a full listen to whatever catches my attention. In this case, every song had something to offer and were woryh listening to. Desert rain is indeed a great song, and another standout was The Citadel, it felt like something that, I don't know, possibly complemented my mindset at the time. Eloquence eludes me.2013-02-25 19:40:00

D: ahhh I missed the publish date because I wasn't at home yesterday....I'm sad now :_( I was one of the lucky one to have the chance to test this level and it was brilliant...next time I'm on LBP 2, I will play this level again! Really sorry that I missed the publish date! Hugs Dini.2013-02-25 19:44:00

@ Tevlon...I'm very glad you liked all the songs.

@xxMATEOSxx...I am thankful you stuck around and gave each song a chance, and very happy that you enjoyed my music. I like The Citadel as well; I was worried how players would respond to some of the phrasing I used in it. It's good to know that what I tried to convey has been achieved.

@ Dini...no need to worry. I know you will playing it soon. When you played it last, I only had one song title in. Now you will know which song you liked the most between number 5 and 6. Desert Rain is the 5th song, and I'm curious if this is the one you liked most. Be sure to let me know, or I will lose sleep wondering.

And to everyone responding to this thread, I sincerely thank you for spending your valuable time to play this Gallery and listen to my compositions.

@ Buddy...yeah, I was really looking forward to your feedback, but I have written 12 more songs since then, 10 of which I put in this Gallery to total 13 on display as collectables. I don't know about the "amazing" part, but I can say many players have liked it so far...I'm too critical of myself and was a bit timid to publish this.

@ Jurgen...thanks for the congrats. It has been a long time since I published a level, and it is great to see all of these wonderful responses. I don't feel as timid as I did on Sunday. Now I'm looking forward to doing more.

Bio/Xerorogue tweeted this level for QUEUESDAY!!! That's how I heard about it and when I saw the name Rick Rock my mouse automatically went straight to the queue button! I really enjoyed this gallery because it's unique. I play a lot of levels (a lot a lot!) so I appreciate when I come across things that are fresh and unique. I really liked the journey to the music gallery section and above all the music was really well done. Kudos on an outstanding job!

Oh oh oh! Another thing that I really appreciated was the shoutouts to the other LBP family members (PMP, LBN, etc.), classy!

Great gallery level. The mini-shooter game is something completely different in gallery levels, and the 3D holograms looked epic. The music sounded great, too. Amazing work, Rick.
PROS:
+Shooter Minigame
+3D layer visuals
+Music Collection
CONS:
-When I exited the controlinator by accident, I can't go back on it until I restart the level.
OVERALL: A yay and heart

Nice music, perfect for any futuristic/space-based platformers IMO. Nice ambient mood to the music. Design of the level was good too. The volume of the music seemed a bit quiet though.... not sure whether that was the music itself or the actual volume? I had to turn my volume right up to hear the songs properly which I don't normally have to do.

Small bug - when you exit the music player with the camera zoomed in (ie with the controls appearing) the camera doesn't seem to zoom back out again.

Anywho, if you have time to play my level and leave feedback, would be much appreciated. https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=78946-Contrast-A-Single-Player-Puzzle-Platformer

Thanks for the feedback, Ali. I am glad you enjoyed the music and the level design.

I created all of these songs with my music volume on my TV set at 28. But 28 for a setting is relative, as TV volumes differ from model to model and manufacturer. The Synthesizer volumes vary between 70% and 100%. I also control the instrument volumes for transitional purposes. With my TV volume at 28 (maybe 32 for yours), the instrument volumes are appropriate in each piece. Most LBP music creators do not vary the volumes of the instruments, but I wanted to convey the subtle nuances of sound as it ebbs and flows, similar to what you would hear in nature.
