I've had an idea for a while to do a track that takes place on one or several floating islands connected by ropes or bridges, a la Avatar and various other stuff. I've only created one more basic and conventional track before, so I don't know if it's even possible to do something like create a huge floating object and put a track on it, or if the track is bound to the default terrain. I know that the Story mode has that arena level with the two floating airships, but that probably works differently due to there not being a set track area for arenas. Is it possible to place the track in the air on a static object? If not, is it possible to create an illusion of height by raising the track terrain and sticking a bunch of clouds or gas around it?
