are LBP materials included in LBP 2 or do i neeed to buy LBP and get those materials as well?

You need to play LBP1 for it's materials and stuff, then import your collected goodies to your LBP2 profile.

Oh, yeah, loads. Only a handful of LBP1 materials are unlockable in LBP2. (All of them are the 'Basic' materials.) If you'd like to check out the amount of stuff available, Check the Wiki. (http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Story_Levels_LBP1) Click on the Creator Curator, then from there, you can check each level from the Curator, and it should have a list of the collectables.

good idea about the wiki : ) I take pics of most of the materials myself, so why not have a scroll through to see what's on offer : ) http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Cardboard You can use the box at the bottom to find other categories of materials hope this helps!
