Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the first Monster Hunter game to release in North America in Europe in 3 years, is almost here! If you've ever been a fan of the series, undoubtedly you are excited. I know I am after having to deal with fan-translated Portable 3rd.

The game releases this March, on the 19th for NA, and the 22nd for EU. Both versions shall receive a demo this week on each systems respective eShop. Demo details are currently unknown, but both full versions will also retail on the eShop's at launch as well.

Wii U supports both Online, and Local play between 3DS'. 3DS will only have Local Multiplayer, but will also have access to spotpass exclusive features, such as your hunter card. Online Mutliplayer on the Wii U supports Text input through on-screen keyboard, or USB Keyboard. Voice Chat will be built in through the Wii U gamepad.

The game features more then 3 times the amount of content of 2010's Monster Hunter Tri, and adds back all removed weapon classes as well. You will face both old and new monster alike, as you fulfill your role as a hunter in this violent ecosystem. Controls range from the Wii U Gamepad, to the Wii Classic COntroller Pro - allowing those that got used to their control scheme on Wii, won't have to compromise their reflexes. 3DS supports the Circle Pad Pro add-on as well.

Save data can be transferred to and from both versions, and each version carries it's pro's and cons.

Is anyone else ready for this? I've been waiting years for a new title... just hope this does well enough for them to localize MH4.

Greed, and a little bit of Sony being a ******. It was much cheaper to develop Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, and they only made an HD re-release of MHP3rd in japan. They wanted to bring the HD rerelease to the US, but Sony kinda gave them some unrealistic demands. So, they kinda said sod off to making Monster Hunters for Sony.

I've seen trailers for this game and read about it. It looks fun! I've never been a fan of the series, but seeing a trailer just makes me want to buy this game for my Wii U lol.2013-02-19 02:00:00

I'm more than ready for this game. I've been playing Freedom Unite since this summer (got it off my neighbor for 10 Bucks) and I have pretty much become addicted to the series. And now that the Series is coming to 3DS/Wii U, I'll probably be able to get more of my friends into the series. I just wish that the 3DS version had Online... oh well, most of my friends have a Wii U and a 3DS, so not too big of a loss.2013-02-20 02:56:00
