Just finished your level and I think you did a good job on it. I like the 3D you did in this level, the visuals looked pretty good and the atmosphere was just right great music choice. The one button you press somewhat near the middle/end of the level I think could use a different color or switched to a switch instead of a button. Other then that good job, had no other problems.2013-02-16 03:11:00

yes, I might have to agree with you on that one, it is kind of hard to spot, my thermometer is maxed out so I'll see what I can do XD

thanks Sackfriend
I've worked long and hard on this series, better known as the PLANT LIFE! Era, if I keep getting plays and hopefully get this over 500 plays, I'll start working on the sequel, right now its pending though

I thought this was rather nice, but there were a few inconsistencies, like the invisible wall to the left of the start point and the water in some areas killing you but in others you needed to swim.

Nothing major I have to say so it was fun to explore, I do think that the crumbling was done a few too many times, or rather the sound effect was used too much. a few varied versions of the sound would have been nice.

Ahhh yess, the invisible wall to the left of the start point, well, there's actually two, if you get on the bottom layer (the way front), there will be an immediate invisi-wall there, and later down if you journey to your left, you'll meet with another wall, the reason is because my levels are continuous, Plant Life Act 1 ended on some sort of cliff-like platform and Act 2 picked up exactly where you left off, then Act 2 finished inside these very caves right where the starting point is at for Act 3, Act 3 in turn finishes near a little "hobbit hole", if I were to get a lot of plays for this Act (preferably 500) then I would continue from where you left off near the "hobbit hole". However, due to the low plays and average ratings, I've stopped working on the new level. However, there is a chance I might renew it with a bit of a twist attached to it. If not, then I will be building a new level with similarities but a new design and better awe-inspiring visuals and a totally new saga. Yes, that would mean completely leaving Plant Life out of the picture and starting with something else. Ahh yess, the water areas, not all parts are swimmable, I wanted to do it like that, but the thermometer only allowed for one area. Sorry. Ahhh yesss, the crumbling sound, I'll get around to tweaking it if I can. Thank you for your feedback

Awesome its queued.

Keeping in mind it's better than anything I built, I think that walls like this do detract from the overall experience. If you end the previous level and want to keep some continuance, I think a little more thought about level planning would add to the overall experience, as well as encourage people to continue.

It's a fairly standard game system to jump down off of a ledge and realise you can't jump back up, it allows for the developer (or LBP creator) from dumping/destroying everything up to that point... Because thee is a guarantee that there is no way for the player to go back. It may be a bit cliche; but I think that it's fairly powerful especially in this style of level.

So you fall off something land in a lower area with a very clear and distinguishable scenic object, and end the level. If the player backtracks they are stopped by the collapsed mine, the broken bridge etc. in this respect falling into a 'hobbit hole' does make sense, but it does need a slightly climatic (not overly so) event to make it be a remembered section when the player loads into the next section. Even rewarding people that do backtrack with an Easter egg style in a change in the environment, like climbing over rubble and seeing a point bubble that was stuck in a crystal now cracked open.

Again, this isn't to pick apart your creation, but is something to consider when trying to combat invisible walls.

ahhhh, I think I see your point when it comes to invisible walls, you mean THOSE invisible walls XD
the hologram ones I didn't understand at first, but now I do, ahhhh, okay, I get you, I'll take that into consideration, those are actually some pretty good ideas. Especially the "rewarding people that do backtrack with an Easter egg style in a change in the environment, like climbing over rubble and seeing a point bubble that was stuck in a crystal now cracked open." I liked that, that actually sounds like something I'd do, never thought about it until you mentioned it, that's pretty cool
As for the other stuff, due to the level already overheating I don't really want to mess with it anymore. All I'll do probably is install the G.A.D.S. that is in Act 1 & 2... Guiding Arrow Display System, at least like that, navigating through the caves will be a bit easier, of course turning on the G.A.D.S. is optional
