BROKEN GLASS..........yeah!!!!!!!!!!

Archive: 9 posts

i was wondering if the glass material should be breakable if we decided to.

imagine you use objects or vehicles and pass trought a glass structure... imagine that you could define the density of the glass and it's resistance to impacts.... that could produce espectacular moments and could bring lots of new ways to develop level zones...

YOU'RE WELCOME

Also would probably destroy your thermometer x_x2009-01-21 15:45:00

You could glue together parts of glass using very thin layers of dissolve. It might even work with invisible dissolve. Then the dissolve can be triggered to break and "shatter" the glass.

This can be done with any object. Trap is right though, having lots of tiny objects really can strain the thermometer.

Um, I forget who he is, but he makes the Twysted Tales levels. In the first one you escape out of jail and you pass through some glass, presumably because it's on a wafer-thin layer, and then when you pass through it emits some little shards of glass. I know it's not like what you're talking about, but it's pretty cool and a good substitute.

Oh, and I think this feature COULD work as long as the glass doesn't stick around after it would be broken. I would picture it to be more like a point bubbles, how you can see them break apart but they disappear afterword.

At the moment a few creators are having trouble with emitters cutting out as explosives and the paintinator leave stickers all over the place. Those stickers never disappear, and can overload an already close to full thermometer to the point of emitters not firing any more.

Kratos4, the maker of the MightyMite tank, talks about it more in this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=7994).

Based on this precedent, MM might forget to make all the little parts disappear over time.

I mean like point bubbles. When they pop, you can see little shards of point bubble go everywhere, but they don't stay there, they fall and disappear, not over time, but immediately.

Look at what they did in the Bunker with the Scientist's prison. Have the glass held IN PLACE (not together, in place) by two objects. When you press a button or get close enough to a switch or something, seperate the two things holding them in place.

Of course, I don't know if the same thing applies, since the prison cell was horizontal.
