Mechanisms like this...

At 1:47, they use a complex looking mechanism that looks really cool in action... I was wondering, could anyone recreate that or is it impossible? By the way, what happened to everything they showed in that video? eg. Neat looking text, Boston shirt, sweat band...

Anyway - could anyone do that?

That looks pretty easy, though it would take some time to calibrate the ball right...2009-01-21 15:24:00

The PS3 is held in place using disolve material. 2-way switch disolves it causing it to swing and hit the ball. Ball falls into container which is hanging from a see-saw type device and the extra weight makes it lower. A mag switch on the container is activated imediately triggering the winch to lower. The winch is tweaked in speed to appear like the ball and container are pulling the winch.2009-01-21 15:27:00

Yeah, I thought it involved magnetic keys... If it's so easy, why hasn't anyone created something like this yet...? 2009-01-21 15:36:00

I don't think a mechanism like this would cross many people's minds for their level. Beside which, it's quite possible someone already HAS made a level using tricks like this, but we simply haven't come across it ourselves.

it doesn't seems difficult to create effects like that.... the problem is having the graphic skills...............

I'm quite sure it's not so much about graphic skills as much as it is about having access to image-importing tools. You can be sure that the presentation levels and levels from the commercials probably use tools we do not have access to yet.
