Assassins Creed

Just started playing this, its great fun , I love jumping from buildings and nailing people with throwing knives, and mostly, being able to grab people and throw them >=].

Graphics are amazing in this game, and the fact that you can look at the whole area rules .

I love games with parkour, which is why I love this game, if they could merge this with GTA, I would be so happy ^^

I can see why people think it gets repetitive though, but I don't mind .

I've played it. It's really better played one chapter at a time, that way it doesn't feel as repetitive. To be fair though, each target is unique and require different tactics.

I enjoyed Alta?r's story, but didn't enjoy Desmond's story that much. Hopefully they'll make a sequel someday and give him a more interesting story and character.

I've heard the next AC will be set in the future, and released end this year.
it's a **** trilogy, and this game deserves it.

So glad I never realised that fighting was so easy, I always avoided it

Fighting becomes much easier halfway through the game. Taking out entire armies single-handedly becomes a common occurrence. What stays tough throughout is fighting the optional Templars and some of the later targets.

I don't understand what's so bad about Desmond's story. I think it was awesome. They nailed there theory enough for me to believe it and it gave a good sub-story to Altair's quest, or really like it was the main story and Altiar's quest's were like the sub-storys..

It is satisfying taking out loads of people, I've justfound out how to do hidden blade counters, they rock

It really helps for interrogation missions to take out every guard in the vicinity (and those who come to investigate the commotion). No need to wait for the guy to move to a quiet dark alley, just punch him right where he stands

Really easy to take out guards unnoticed, just stand in front of them, hidden blade ([]) and Bobs your uncle

I never really understood people saying that the game was repetitive. So is GTA if you play it what I consider "the wrong way." The wrong way to play a sandbox game is when you're playing SR2 and you DON'T drive on the sidewalk in the suburbs to hit the old people. The wrong way is in Assassin's Creed when um..... you go 5 minutes without killing someone and run in the streets. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it, and there's no wrong way to play a sandbox game, but that's just how I look at it.

Assassin's Creed is a great game. I never got bored, but then again, I still haven't beaten it. I always get distracted by giant buildings that I can climb or some guards I can kill. Oh, and having a whole army chase you on rooftops is FUN!!!!

You can't really compare AC with GTA.
Assassins Creed was a beautiful game with some very intriguing innovations and all, fun parkour style acrobatic madness and some beautiful level designs.

However, The game was just so empty... Sure, you could jump around looking for Hidden Flags, or finish every side mission... But all the side missions were pretty much a variation of the exact same missions over and over again, and if you were unfortunate enough to choose the PS3 version, you weren't even rewarded for actually finishing all those Flag hunts and Side missions...
Not in the way of stats, trophies, character advancement or anything...
I finished much of the game but felt no incentive for continuing to crawl over rooftops searching for flags that don't give me any bonus at all.

To me it was just a disappointment. When I started playing I was overwhelmed by the coolness of the game, but as I progressed I realised I'd seen about everything in the first stage... And then the game "Ends" so abruptly at first I thought it was a joke of some sort... A breaking of the fourth wall like they did with "Blood Money" or something... But nope, game over... wait for the sequel.
This could have been such an awesome game, but I feel like they rushed it to fill in the empty PS3 Library.
Just my two cents.

Well I have finished the game ages ago (Months and months)

Really, I hated the ending. Left us WAYY too much to think about. Also, how is Desmond just a random assassin? How did they find him? In the end, you get the vision thingy and see srtuff above your bed. What on EARTH does that mean? I found the translations. Won't share them here but yeh. Also, why is he searching for all those things around the world? He has the map now and stuff but I don't think it says WHY he's looking for them.

Assassin's Creeed 2 confirmed, released by March 2010...

http://www.ps3fanboy.com/2009/01/22/assassins-creed-2-officially-confirmed-with-us-by-march-2010/

Ubisoft's third quarter earnings report has finally officially confirmed that the sequel to 2007's best selling assassinate-em-up, Assassin's Creed, will be available before the end of March 2010. While technically impressive, Assassin's Creed was a bit lacking in the gameplay department, we felt. A great proof-of-concept, but without enough fresh content to keep from getting stale after a while. Something we're hoping to see improved in the sequel. Ready for another year of seeing Jade Raymond wherever you turn?

The report also mentions that there will be seven franchise titles being released during the fiscal year starting this April, including Splinter Cell Conviction (which we can assume is still 360 exclusive), Ghost Recon and, as we've already mentioned, Assassin's Creed 2. There will also be three new IPs, including I Am Alive. No other games in these categories were mentioned, so no doubt Ubisoft has a few more surprises up its sleeve.

I beat this game ages back, I only had two problems:

1) It was way too short for my liking, and I tried collecting everything.

2) It began to get rather repetative after getting a little through the game.

Well, some people like those kind of cliffhanger endings. Especially me. Maybe that's why I'm the only one in my school who likes Cloverfield.

Oh, and @ Zommy. That gives me an idea. Anyone else think we should request an Assassin's Creed expansion pack from MM? Think about it, AC is perfect for LBP.

I have a homemade altair costume

P.S: Cloverfield was great.
