The Calamitous Clock: The North Tower

This is the next installment...originally planned as the sub-level for EXODUS.**I felt that it needed its own level.**The level is a platformer and race, with mainly all new gameplay different than EXODUS.**Since you now have new power, power to control Mechanicas (anything of mechanical nature), you will be able to control various platforming elements using L1.**I would say it is medium difficulty.**Hope you check it out and enjoy it.**Also, I will not be returning to this series for a while. This level is great multiplayer. Mostly due to trolling opportunities, but still, it's pretty fun. My only complaint was that there was an invisible wall which is a big no-no. Despite two cheap deaths it was pretty nice all around. Hearted! | 2013-02-01 15:53:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
Thanks. @bonner, there is only an invisible wall of holo to keep players from the background deco. Not sure what you are speaking about otherwise?? | 2013-02-01 17:38:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
It's invisible hologram / sticker panel, and it's for the final obstacle where L1 triggers an in-out mover on the bouncepad platform. There's no indication that the player can't jump on them while they're in the middle layer, so maybe provide a contextual or at least a visible reason (such as enclosing it to some extent) so players won't get confused / suffer a cheap death. | 2013-02-01 22:04:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
Gotcha, though the same exact mechanism occurs earlier in the level as well, second obstacle, two bouncers and two spinners inbetween. Thanks again btw. | 2013-02-01 22:17:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
got a chance to play this last night and had a fun time with it. I think I like this one better than the previous one. I loved the platforming obstacles and how the L1 played into. It was very intuitive and offered enough challenge that it wasn't a walk in the park but not frustratingly hard either. Great job on it. Think I'll play it again tonight. | 2013-02-01 23:19:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
I like the atmosphere. The gameplay was good it worked well for me but in multiplayer it was really hard unfortunately. May be you should write [1p] because a friend an me had problems with the switches (in and out / open or closed gates). But it was awesome in single player | 2013-02-02 11:39:00 Author: Luke_MK_II Posts: 1121 |
Thanks for the feedback. The level description says one player recommended. I realize that it would be hard for multiplayer because the mechanics for L1 work for only one player, the closest. | 2013-02-03 01:42:00 Author: shookie99 Posts: 447 |
