Touchable Buttons

Archive: 3 posts

Ok.. question for today:

I have these buttons that light up and send a pulse to a tag when they are touched. And I was hoping instead, that I could have them send the pulse when the button is released rather on initial touch.

I've played with the tap feature and its not quite what I want. As the tap feature doesn't register if you are holding the button rather than tapping it.

Furthermore, It would be great if you could drag your finger off the button and have it not send a pulse if you arn't over it when you release your finger.

Can any of this be done? If so, HOW???

I'm thinking that with some sort of inverted sensers and selectors.. I don't know. it's just not coming together for me right now.

set it up as seen in the pic above, note thats an XOR gate in the pic.
the top sensor should be at defult settings,
and the bottom one should be the same except "Limit range to object" should be set to "No".
if set up correctly this will work for everything you described

Wow! Thank You Evret! Everytime I think you guys are going to come back and say it can't be done... You not only do it, but you make it look so easy!

This is my first use of the XOR gate (whatever that is), so thanks for that as well. Now I have a use for that ol' thing too!

..Oh and it worked perfectly by the way! Thanks again.
