Car problems + Bolt speed

Archive: 2 posts

Hello there everyone...

I have various questions regarding my new 1 layer cars at the moment.

1. Can i make the Moter bolt go faster than 1500?

2. Is it possible to make this little car (BMW M3) draggable?

3. lastly is there any way of measuring speed in LBP?

Thanks for the help.

For making your Bolts go faster, see this level - http://lbp.me/v/77zbe8
It's in Japanese, but just pay attention to what's being demonstrated and you'll get it. The level gives away a bunch of Batteries with a signal strength greater than 100%, and when Bolts and stuff recieve those signals, they behave as you'd expect them to. A 200% Battery wired into a 1,500 speed Rotator set to 'Speed Scale' will rotate at 3,000.

As for making your vehicle draggable, hmm. I dunno. It depends on what you mean. I wouldn't go messing around with Anti-Gravs as less gravity on something just for the sake of allowing players to move it around looks weird.
You could try... Getting rid of your Motor Bolts, and replacing them with standard Bolts. Use Rotators to spin the wheels, but switch the Rotators off when they're not needed, this will allow the Bolts to freely rotate with no resistance.

As for measuring speed, it depends how you want to do it and if you want a specific measurement. You could try placing a Speed Sensor down, wire that into the Positive Input of a Directional Combiner, wire the Combiner into a Timer set to 'Speed Scale' and wire the Timer into the Negative Input of the Combiner. What this will do is fill the Timer up, relative to the speed of the object the Speed Sensor is attached to.
