Eject controllinator and end level???

Archive: 4 posts

Hey,

I've made a space shooter level, very basic, just testing mechanics and logic and things. at the start the player automatically enters the contollinator on the ship, and kills some baddies, then eventually kills the boss. How do i make the level end there?? once the boss blows up thats where i want the level to end but im just stuck in the ship flying about. i've just found out about the eject function which i was un aware of, but even then how do i get the character on the computer end level thing without it interfering with the level design??

if u want to check the level out, im Darkfeeder, its called Space. its my only published level. cheers

You can trigger a Level/Game Ender (one of the blue logic items - World Tweakers category?). It will eject the player and have them show up at the scoreboard.2013-01-28 16:30:00

The only problem with doing this method is that if you have the switch that has the boss blow up connected directly to the game ender, then you won't be able to see the explosion. You might want to add a one-shot switch with the input connected to the switch triggering the boss explosion. Then you connect the one-shot switch to a timer set to how long it will take for the game to end after you kill the boss. This will leave some room to see the explosion and maybe some victory tunes . Connect the timer's output to the game enders input and you are done.
