I totally agree! I'm currently working on a level that really needs a good bell chime, like you might hear from a clock tower, but there's nothing even close! I've been trying to make do with a bunch of simultaneous cymbals, or the the first few seconds from the song from the snake temple. The latter almost works, but that monk chorus interrupts the end of every chime in the song.

This was one of the things I suggested to SamProtagonist! I have just made a music level using the piano effect, but it would sound soo much better if was guitarified! Stairway To Heaven needs guitar not piano!

Having recently delved into LBP song-making... I have to add my voice in and say the selection of instruments is pitiful. We need more! Enough to put Wii Music to shame! :hero:

Enough to put Wii Music to shame! :hero: Mario Paint puts Wii Music to shame. How many years ago was that? On the other hand, a game could consist of 3 different beeps and still put Wii Music to shame.

We clearly need more sound effect. I would also like more instruments but i'd actually prefer a song maker. And yes it could be as simple as Mario Paint and still kick ***. .

Totally agree. I asked MM for more music and instrument sounds months ago. Shortly after the game was released I made a small concept level called musical medley but soon realised I just didn't have the sounds for many of the instruments. I don't read music so I need accurate musical sounds to be easily accessible. I almost deleted the level several times but i thought I would leave it in the hope that MM do give us more in the future and i can hopefully update it. I asked them at the time why on earth they put so many e-sounds in ( even a triangle which is so low you can't hear it anyway ) and yet they never included a guitar which surely must be more useful than 90% of the sounds they have included. Of course I never had a reply so whether we'll ever get any decent sounds is anybody's guess and with all the bugs in the game still having to be sorted out it could be years before it happens anyway.
